The narration was phenomenal. The character development and storyline were SO good - I enjoyed every bit of it through the twists and turns. Highly recommend for strong women relationships and plot.

Amazing Prose
Revisado: 03-21-25
I haven’t listen to such a well-written, FUN, and solid romance in a long time. The prose was clever, funny, and deeply moving. The characters were complex and relatable. I loved every single chapter!

Strong Plot and Great Sensitivity
Revisado: 01-14-25
This was such an enjoyable novel! The handling of the main character’s autism and small town mindsets was masterful. Loved the characters and the layout of the story.

The story, characters, and narration were all superior to most I’ve heard! Loved every aspect of the book! The narrator is now a new favorite - she’s spot on across all the varied dialects! Beautifully done.

The storyline was intriguing and solid. I want to read more about this world/community and felt a strong pull toward understanding them. Great character development overall - strong female and male roles.

Excellent Narration
Revisado: 11-16-24
The story was entertaining and held my interest. I would have liked to see more connection between love interests but understand why that’s not the central focus. The narrator is SO talented - her accents and dialects were incredible.

Characters and Humor
Revisado: 11-05-24
This is my second read by this author and I’m now a committed fan! I laughed out loud and CRIED with laughter at some of her incredible depictions. Her characters are so well done in terms of being complicated, human beings and the relationships are deliciously complex. Loved it!

Historia
Ever have one of those days where life just plain sucks? Welcome to my last three months - ever since I caught my can’t-be-soon-enough-ex-husband cheating with his paralegal. I’m 35 years old, and I’ve lost my NYC apartment, my job, my money, and frankly, my dignity. But the final heartache in the suck sandwich of my life? My great-aunt Maggie died. The only family member who’s ever gotten me. Even after death, though, she’s helping me get back up again. Too bad that bravado only lasts as long as it takes to drive into Huckleberry Hills. And see the house.

Relatable Romance
Revisado: 10-29-24
The storyline was pretty good overall. Some decent twists and turns, but nothing that frustrated me too much. The characters were mostly well developed and enjoyable. The house and situation with it were very relatable. The romance part was a solid story with some irritating but likely necessary insecurity.

Good Mystery
Revisado: 10-24-24
Bronson is the most incredible narrator! I was drawn in immediately and really appreciated his amazing voice and talent. The storyline was engaging and the characters for the most part were good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for the story was the tendency to have TOO many characters to keep track of - it got annoying / excessive at times.

Revisado: 10-13-24
This book was such a pleasure for me. As a 53 year old with 3 almost grown children, I related to the main character so much. Read MAGNIFICENTLY by Meryl Streep, the story was a gorgeous mix of memories from her youth and an lovely family dynamic. I look forward to reading it again one day!
