Great imagination
Revisado: 01-24-15
I enjoy a story that carries one away with imagination. New Beginnings did. Wife and kids loved it too. Cannot wait for what comes next.

Historia
Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks.

Second not as good as the first
Revisado: 10-24-10
Continued with great ideas and great story, but it seemed to continue to embellish or restate things over and over and was much slower a read than the first.

Hell on Earth. That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Enjoyed but left me wanting
Revisado: 10-03-10
This book was wonderful with the suspense necessary to get the reader completely involved in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Having read the first in the series, I was excited to see how the story continued and it did not disappoint having plenty of action and drama. However, the build up through the whole story did not come full circle and the ending just left the reader feeling like they had not received the payoff that they had invested the time to receive. Obviously, a middle book in a series,....this author seems to think that leaving the reader hanging is a way to make sure they come back for more. I believe that a story should wrap itself up leaving intrigue to get the reader to read the next book. The sudden ending, left me wanting more, but unsatisfied that I hadn't been rewarded with any of the "promises" I felt the author had set up.
