Historia
Widowed Samantha Arias hasn’t spoken to Holly Dunfee in forever. It’s for the best. Samantha prefers to avoid conflict. The blisteringly honest Holly craves it. What they still have in common puts them both back on speed dial: a mutual love for Katie, their best friend of twenty-five years, now hospitalized with cancer and needing one little errand from her old college roomies. It’s simple: travel cross-country together, steal her loathsome ex-husband’s VW camper, find Katie’s diabetic Great Pyrenees at a Utah pound, and drive him back home to Wisconsin.

TERRIBLE narration
Revisado: 06-12-24
I have abandoned this audio book and just bought the Kindle version to read myself. I thought I had my audible features turned to read it 1.5 or 2x faster, but I did not. I can not imagine a narrator purposely reading this story that quickly, in such a monotone nasaly high pitched voice, paying no attention to punctuation and dramatic pauses, or if it was just overproduced and ended up sounding that way, but it was terrible.

Historia
With the Bible as a guide and heaven as the goal, Oneness Embraced calls God’s people to kingdom-focused unity. It tells us why we don’t have it, what we need to get it, and what it will look like when we do. Weaving his own story into this word to the church, Tony Evans tells of a life spent between two worlds. As a young theologian he straddled black, urban culture and white, mainline evangelicalism. Now, three decades later, he offers seasoned reflections on matters of history, culture, the church, and social justice.

Missed Tony's voice
Revisado: 07-06-21
I was a little disappointed that this wasn't read by th author himself. The narrator did a good job, but I was just a little disappointed to not hear Tony's voice.

Struggled with narration
Revisado: 07-06-21
Struggled with the narrator's voice. Too airy and young sounding for a 31 year old business woman from NYC, much less the two male characters
