Historia
To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. 6Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide listeners through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God.

Deeply Fascinating & Informative
Revisado: 01-21-25
As a believer, I did not read this book in hopes of answering my faith questions. However, the data found in this book reinforced my beliefs with science, logic, archeological and historical evidence in a powerful & unmistakable way. It is undeniably logical & reasonable to conclude based on the evidence presented in this book that Jesus is, in fact, the Son of God, who lived a sinless life, died a brutal death & resurrected Himself on our behalf.

Historia
In The Anxious Generation, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt lays out the facts about the epidemic of teen mental illness that hit many countries at the same time. He then investigates the nature of childhood, including why children need play and independent exploration to mature into competent, thriving adults. Haidt shows how the “play-based childhood” began to decline in the 1980s, and how it was finally wiped out by the arrival of the “phone-based childhood” in the early 2010s.

An absolutely necessary parent read!!!
Revisado: 10-07-24
As a licensed counselor, I found this book to detail all the patterns I’ve experienced with clients for the last 25 years. It brought to light the change in types of emotional health issues I’ve seen in teens & young adults over the years since I began practicing in 1997. So thankful for this body of work. Every teacher, principal, parent, and health care provider should read this book!!

Christians know what Jesus Christ has done — but who is he? What is his deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? Jesus said he is "gentle and lowly in heart." This audiobook reflects on these words, opening up a neglected yet central truth about who he is for sinners and sufferers today.

Historia
Depression is the number-one health issue in the world today, yet those who suffer are still sometimes stigmatized - especially followers of Jesus. Many assume God's peace, power, and protection should prevent us from ever feeling anxious, depressed, and afraid. But the Bible teaches otherwise, particularly in its depiction of the life of the Old Testament prophet Elijah. Chris Hodges uses Elijah's life to show us that everyone is susceptible to depression. Even when we're walking closely with God, we can still stumble and get lost in the wilderness of tangled emotions.

Historia
God wants us to move toward the goodness he has planned for us. But what do we do when challenges stop our forward momentum? What’s the next step when we fall into a pit of despair with the determination knocked right out of us? On his way from Judea to Galilee, Jesus traveled through Samaria, a broken place everyone knew to avoid. In Samaria he stopped in Shechem, where evil had gained such a foothold of power that it eventually reigned. Yet the place once condemned as somewhere no one wanted to visit....
