She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy.... Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice, even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

College never was so much fun!
Revisado: 04-09-25
Hannah Wells is a junior at Briar College when she is asked to tutor Garrick Graham, captain of the hockey team. She resists at first because she is too busy. But, the two make a deal he would get her noticed by the guy she is interested in if she tutors him in ethics. The relationship between the two escalates as they get to know each other. This fun and interesting story begins slow but speeds up fast. I gave this story a 4 ⭐️ rating, with a spice rating of 4 🌶️. The narration was excellent and made it very entertaining and fun. Highly recommend.

Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train. But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents.

Out standing novel
Revisado: 04-07-25
It’s been a long time since I have read a David Baldacci book and I didn’t like the original 6:20 Man but this one was fantastic. Travis Devine has developed into an amazing character and the story is just that much better because of it! In this book Travis must confront many challenges and individuals outside his comfort zone. He is targeted for death multiple times, must engage a preteen who has faced devastating loss and a woman who has tried to kill him in previous books. Plus, that is only part of the story. He is sent to Seattle to deal with an ex military buddy who is being tried on federal charges. The story although outstanding is reminiscent of today’s political scene that I found interesting and uncomfortable. David Baldacci is a fantastic author and brings to paper stories that intrigue, entertain and excite readers. Kudos to him for his writing and his style. I know I for one will be reading more of his books.
This book was made better by the narrators who did a fabulous job of making this story come to life. I am giving the story and narration 5 stars ⭐️

Fun and interesting
Revisado: 04-04-25
I feel this is the best one of the series. Archer, Iris and Olive are fun characters to follow and they are easy to read about. Archer is a world renowned chef who finds out he has a five year old daughter in a small town in America. He leaves Europe to take custody of his daughter and needs a nanny. Iris has held down multiple jobs but never one for long, applies for the position and gets it. From there the fun begins as the couple become friends and have an intimate attraction for each other. Archer in the meanwhile is trying to run a pancake cafe and re-produce the “original “ pancake. Olive is precocious but lovable and adds a little bit of extra flavor to the story.
This friends to lovers, close proximity and an unexpected pregnancy tale is fun and easy to read. There are a few twists but a happily ever after ending makes this book well worth the time to read it. I gave it a 4.5 ⭐️ rating with a spicy rating of 3.5 🌶️. If you read the rest of the series you need to read this book, I highly recommend it.

It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, and Charlotte and Seth are not looking for romance. Armed with emotional-support bear spray, Charlotte is in self-imposed isolation and on guard from men. Having a stalker can do that to a person’s nerves. Just across the hall and giving off woodsy vibes is Seth, a recently divorced arborist. As in today recently. Heights, he’s fine with. Trust? Not so much.

Seth and Charlotte are thrown together when their stairs are demolished by accident. Charlotte is being stalked by a crazed man. The instant attraction between this couple is palpable and fun. There are some great moments and some intense moments but it ends as a fun and enjoyable read!! Highly recommend with a 4 ⭐️ rating.

A cute organic story
Revisado: 02-28-25
This is a fun book that discusses sexual fetishes and physical attraction. It’s not a “kinky” book and doesn’t deserve the hate it garnered on book tok. Scarlet Vandermeer is a diving athlete who suffered an almost career ending injury who is now back to competing. Lukas Blomqvist is a Swedish swimmer who contends and studies at the same university as Scarlet. Their mutual friend Penelope (Pen) introduces them and suggests they should be lovers because of their mutual secret. They compete, attend classes and work on special projects together. Lukas helps Scarlet work through her mental block of her injury and they are both ranked high in competition both athletically and academically. Their mutual attraction and affection for each other grows stronger as they learn to cope with life together and independently. But, will Pen allow them a happily ever after? Will their love of their sports and education keep them apart?
I’m giving this audiobook a 4.5 star review and encourage others to read this latest addition to Ali Hazelwood’s collection. Relax and read this book for enjoyment and entertainment.
The narrators were spot on and the characters were brought to life by them. I’m not sure if I would have enjoyed this book as much as I did in a traditional format. Highly recommend!!

Michael Bennett is awesome
Revisado: 02-16-25
As always Michael Bennett is awesome. I wish there were truly men like him. He’s a NYPD detective who balances 10 children, a new wife and a grandfather who is a catholic priest. In this story Michael is tracking down a paid hit man who is targeting retired police officers from an elite group and drug dealers. There is trouble at home with his young pregnant wife, which their children help out with. There is a lot of action in this story and a lot of twists and turns. The ending is jaw dropping. I would give this book a 3.5 ⭐️ rating and recommend it.

Playing the part of my sister’s maid of honor is easy even if she’s marrying my ex. But playing nice with the best man? An impossible task given our history. Sure, Luke Darling may be suspiciously kind, incredibly handsome, and stubborn to a fault, but regardless of how hard he tries to make me see otherwise, I’m not interested. It’s on me to remind him that he’s my ex-boyfriend’s best friend. And the one I’m secretly starting to wish I met first.

Love conquering all
Revisado: 12-19-24
This fun and quirky novella is well written and worth reading during the holiday season. Enemy to lovers, close proximity, and found family are just a few tropes in this book. Gabriela and Aiden are to be married on December 30th. But Catalina, Gabriela sister and the FMC dated Aiden prior to her sister. Catalina will be her sister’s maid of honor. Luke Darling, an emergency room physician and Aiden’s best man and is the MMC is interested in Catalina. Luke dreams up way to be near Catalina. Luke only has two weeks to win over Catalina, she is a traveling pediatric nurse and she will be leaving after the wedding. This had me lol and kicking my feet. I’m giving this a rating of 4 ⭐️ with a spicy rating a 2 🌶️. This is a good holiday season read and I recommend it to those who like the Lake Wisteria series. Lauren Asher has hit this one out of the park.

Historia
Living in a year around Christmas town has its drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It's why I like to hibernate away in my cave - I mean housekeeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits. And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest - which she was determined to win.

This fun and exciting book is a perfect example of what a good Christmas rom com should be. It’s got spicy 🌶️ humor as well regular humor. Storee and Cole start out as enemies by being in the running for Kringle title. This enemy to lovers story, close proximity and third act breakup book was amusing, heart wrenching and hea ending. I rated this a 4 ⭐️ and a 4 🌶️ rating. This is a good Christmas story for those who don’t mind smut. It had me giggling and crying.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year...but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions. But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world - the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families.

Time loop fun
Revisado: 12-10-24
Maelyn (Mae) Jones is a woman working in a going nowhere job, living at home with her mother and living her last year of Christmas season at the Utah cabin of friends. And, she just committed the worst romantic faux pas of her life. After finding out the cabin she has spent every Christmas since she was born is to be sold she requests a simple answer to the question of what will make her happy. A car accident and several strange incidents keep sending her back to December 20th, each time she gets to stay longer in the present timeline until she determines what will make her happy. Or does she? This closed door, childhood friends to lovers, and happily ever after ending tropes drive this cozy book. I have found this book fun and lighthearted. I have rated this book a 4 ⭐️ closed door story. The narrator, Patti Murin did an excellent job.
