The books in the series are getting better

I really enjoyed this book--the author really understands the human nature. I know that people are not happy about how Strike & Robin story is going, but I think it is psychologically believable. I felt that the discussion of social media was quite nuanced, and didn't understand why JK Rowling was criticised for writing about this topic. Isn't it the first thing a writer is taught-- write about what you know.
I didn't have a problem with the group chats necessarily, although I had to pay more attention to remember all the social media handles. I think it would have been useful to add a free PDF file with the group chats with the audio version though. I had more of a problem with understanding the content during the dialogue with the person who was paralysed. I understand the narrator had to to make changes in his performance, but it was really unclear what he was saying--I had to relisten multiple times to understand the gist of the dialogue. I understand that the narrator did this to make the story more believable, but I think the listener should still be able to understand the content of the conversation. Some of the accents are also very thick and hard to understand. But maybe it's me being a non-native speaker.

Historia
An earthquake shatters Haiti and a hurricane slices through Texas. We hear that nature runs rampant, seeking to destroy us through these 'natural disasters'. Science recounts a different story, however: disasters are not the consequence of natural causes; they are the consequence of human choices and decisions. we put ourselves in harm's way; we fail to take measures which we know would prevent disasters, no matter what the environment does.

The best nonfiction book I read last year
Revisado: 01-05-22
An excellent book by the expert, a leading scientist working at the top UK university. The author has managed to explain very complicated concepts in simple words, using a lot of examples. If you are tempted to read Bill Gates' book, read this one instead! The narrator is exceptional, very easy to follow.
