Historia
April Clarke-Cliveden was the first person Hannah Jones met at Oxford. Vivacious, bright, occasionally vicious, and the ultimate It girl, she quickly pulled Hannah into her dazzling orbit. Together, they developed a group of devoted and inseparable friends—Will, Hugh, Ryan, and Emily—during their first term. By the end of the year, April was dead.

Kept me guessing
Revisado: 01-14-25
Kept me guessing until the end! I really like the way the author takes her time to tell the story with a lot of detail. Wonderful narrator. Very easy to listen to her voice. Did the various character’s voices very well.

Thank you, Hilary, for your life’s dedication and work on behalf of women, children, democracy, and the underrepresented. This book is well written, interesting, informative, endearing, inspiring, and a challenge to keep marching and never give up on our privilege and God-given duty to help others and to do good. Wonderfully read by Hilary herself.

Helpful guide for raising bilingual and multilingual children
Revisado: 05-18-24
I was excited to find this book on Audible. I’m helping my granddaughter become bilingual and have many questions about the best way to do this. This book provides excellent information, both scientific and anecdotal, from a parent with personal experience in this area. The author has done a lot of research and has personal experience in teaching her children to be multilingual. The book is quick and easy to listen to and is full of helpful and practical information. It discusses the benefits of raising bilingual/multilingual children, addresses parents’ concerns, and explains various ways families can implement bilingual/multilingual education both at home and through online and community resources. Most helpful of all, she provides interesting and hands-on activities people can use to implement bilingual/multilingual education at home. At the end of the book she provides multiple websites for further study and resources, and a PDF with helpful information. I highly recommend this book for anybody interested in raising bilingual/multilingual children of any age.

This easily digestible guidebook prepares you for what to expect and what to do when you're parenting a bilingual-to-be. It also contains general background information that will take you beyond the how, to the why. The book provides you with solid scientific arguments for raising your child bilingually and outlines practical steps you can take to integrate two (or more) languages into your child's routine. It

Helpful read for people raising bilingual children
Revisado: 05-16-24
I was very excited to find this book. I’m currently involved in helping my granddaughter become bilingual. This book is a quick and easy read, and is full of helpful information. I appreciated the author’s use of actual case studies and scientific research, as opposed to just anecdotal information. It was very interesting to read about how children acquire language, regardless of whether or not they become bilingual. There are multiple case studies based on different family configurations, which will be helpful to many. She includes many side notes that I found very interesting and that will lead me to further study. The book is read by the author and her voice is very easy to listen to, which is not always the case. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in raising bilingual children. It doesn’t have all the answers, but it definitely lays a wonderful foundation and provides useful and relevant information.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

So interesting, yet sad, and very well written. It was a true pleasure hearing it read by Prince Harry himself!
