Historia
Neal Carey is not your usual private eye. A graduate student at Columbia University, he grew up on the streets of New York, usually on the wrong side of the law. Then he met a P.I. who introduced him to the Bank, an exclusive institution with a sideline in keeping its wealthy clients happy and out of trouble. They pay Neal's college tuition, and Neal gets an education that can't be found in any textbook, from learning how to trail a suspect to mastering the proper way to search a room. Now it's payback time.

too much profanity
Revisado: 11-29-22
Winslow went way overboard on the profanity: "f*** this & f that. and more. Not worth the effort to read and definitely not worth the price.

Pornographic Trash mixed in with lovely scenery
Revisado: 07-02-20
This good story was totally wrecked by the descriptions of the Asian porn industry. Couldn't finish it. Made me nauseous.

too many french recipes
Revisado: 10-08-19
I'm done with this author for a while. Too many unrealistic relationships with women....too many recipes....lost the train of the mystery with these distractions. Found it frustrating.

too much conversation
Revisado: 09-16-19
too much conversation and not enough action. Some parts are totally unbelivable - like why was the main character letting this woman tell him how to run his "job?" serioiusly? good images of Vietnam and good history discussed. But enough alread -- where's the mission? The narration was great.

But when the son of a wealthy Delhi businessman is kidnapped just weeks after his brother fell victim to an alleged bandit attack in the mountains of Haryana, it raises eyebrows. With the local police doing close to nothing, there’s only one man for the job: ex-SAS major Ben Hope. But for Ben, this is no ordinary rescue case. Because this plea for help is coming from a special person from his past who now has nobody else to turn to.

Best narration I've ever heard.
Revisado: 05-30-19
This is a great story - interesting, unique, action, mystery and humor - a cagy main character. But the NARRATOR is the real prize of all. He brings the characters to life - multiple accents, pacing is just right. Pure joy!!

Historia
April 13, 2006. A Jerusalem Post headline reads: "Jericho man murdered over home sale." The 42 year-old father of eight was kidnapped, shot seven times, thrown into his car, and set on fire, because he had sold his Jerusalem apartment to Jews. Radical Islam has long desired to seize Jerusalem and make it off limits to Christian and Jewish believers. In this revealing book, Dore Gold, former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, reminds us that the war on terror is also a war on faith.

Very good information but narrator ....
Revisado: 12-10-18
Very thorough, but not overly detailed; Easily understood in a complex subject. The narrator did a good job of pronouncing arabic names BUT her tone was sometimes irritating - I would have preferred a lower, male voice.
