Historia
A true musical polymath, Beck shifts between and blends genres and generations with a preternatural ease—one foot in the secret history of American music and the other moving toward the future. Consistently brushed off by industry gatekeepers on both coasts, Beck perseveres—ultimately building a bespoke audience of millions who share his borderless musical vision. In Dear Life, Beck proves that the most powerful art is made by those who are brave enough to be fully themselves.

Oh how I love this man
Revisado: 08-25-23
There are no words substantial enough to explain how this man’s art has impacted my life for almost 30 years now. Just got to see him live in concert this month, a true highlight of my life. Then I stumbled upon this audiobook today and, man. I just spent an hour and a half listening to him tell me his story and beginnings, like a magician stepping out from behind a curtain and having a coffee with me. His beginnings in Los Angeles, his childhood scrapping together inspiration for what was to come, the poets that took him in as a kid just sneaking into college classes…I absolutely loved learning a little about the things that catalyzed his heart and mind and propelled him to be the artist that very literally changed my life. If you love Beck, this is a fantastic journey and so personally told, it felt like he very well could have been on the other end of the phone.

Historia
The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore ( Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving.

I’m a good listener, but I got soooo lost
Revisado: 11-11-22
I tried. I couldn’t tell you how this ends because I got so lost in the final chapters about who was who and what was happening that I gave up. I even went back and tried to pick up where I last remembered things making sense and no dice. Maybe it’s just me but man this spiraled into not just a crooked staircase, but a cluster from which I could not derive plot or purpose.

Fantastic!

They cast this so beautifully. This is just the right amount of suspense without too much terror or gore, and the character development makes you invested in what happens to this crew. Awesome!

You had me until…
Revisado: 10-26-22
I was with you until you went off the rails. I wanted to learn about nasa, the moon, claims from credible scientists, historical and modern sightings…and you did all that! Thank you. Then the train went into the ditch. Alien love children, Elvis, and time travel claims? Barrack Obama on Mars? Sigh. I just can’t. Really like your show but there’s a limit! Stick to the good stuff and avoid the whacakadoodle stuff, there’s no reason to present that right alongside the credible things you’re asking us to believe.

Historia
This week Jenna and Angela tackle episode two of The Office. They cover Michael Scott's cringe-worthy jokes, their own harassment training as actors, and how offices all over the country use clips from Diversity Day as examples of bad office behavior. Finally, they reveal the origins of the famed line "I will attack you with the North", and beg the question "was Angela in the right dressing room for the 2004 World Series?". Ahhhh...finally!
Revisado: 05-25-21
Was this podcast always here? Did I just not notice before? I have wanted to listen to this for months but didn’t know where to find it. Could not love The Office more and could not love these two more. Yay that I found this or yay that it just got added. Either way, thrilled.
