PROS: The narration, and the chemistry between Mason and Kate. I could feel the attraction so when the steamy part comes, it's believable. Also, I could relate to Kate. I'm a few inches shorter and have always been attracted to tall men.

CONS: It had a slow start. Too much thinking and not enough dialog. Of course, that may be understandable given the events taking place in the first several chapters. Which brings me to the next con, short chapters made for a choppy read. Then there was Kate's original mission. She doesn't seem to spare much of a thought for the woman she had been tracking. Again, given the situation that might be plausible. Just struck me as odd.

BIG PRO: This is a suspense thriller that kept me listening. I didn't figure out the ending too soon (maybe because the story was being driven by the Mason/Kate relationship for much of the book). I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to finish the book.

SPOILER BIG CON: I don't want to say too much, but I think people who know about or have experienced PTSD might find part of the book unrealistic.

I loved this book. Very inspirational and good to hear some behind-the-scenes stories. I also received the hard copy as a Christmas present so it was great to be able to go back and forth. I highly recommend it!

I love the combination of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi. I wasn't as crazy about Molly Harper's Mystic Bayou series as her earlier stories, but this one sparked my interest. I've read hundreds of books (or thousands), but this is a scenario I've never read before. I've seen spirits tied to a person in the movie "Heart and Souls," starring Robert Downey Jr. in 1993.

In this story, countless objects each have a spirit attached to them and our protagonist finds herself in charge of many such items in a family home that she had never known existed. As she stumbles through her learning experience, she finds love, friends and herself.

As for the narration, I usually give Amanda Ronconi five stars, but in parts of the dialogue I had trouble telling who was speaking. That's highly unusual as she usually has distinct voices for the characters.

All in all, I can recommend this book. An HEA without a lot of angst between the main characters and an interesting plot that will keep you listening.

Another solid cozy mystery by Angie Fox. Narrator Tavia Gilbert reads it with a dramatic flair that really intensifies my enjoyment of the story.

It's that time of year when the whole small town goes all out for the high school football homecoming. Even Verity's wandering mother will be coming home for the festivities.

Verity is looking forward to visiting with her mom, but there is plenty of unwanted friction. (I can relate!) Ultimately she loves her mom so she does her best to help her mom learn the whereabouts of her best friend from high school. Some say she left town and never looked back, but surely she'll return for the big event. Along the way, we get visits with Frankie and Molly, the handsome Ellis, and, best of all, Lucy!

The final test of a good mystery for me is how far in I figure out who the bad guy is. I was surprised at the reveal so I sincerely recommend this book.

We get an update on the relationship between Margot and Kyle. It's a brief glimpse into the family dynamics involved in a widower finding a new love and building a future with her. Kyle's two little girls are so different, but Margot loves them both. To make life more complicated, they all live in a tightly knit community where they have frequent contact with the deceased woman's parents.

Little June as written by Molly Harper and voiced by Amanda Ronconi was my favorite character. I dare someone to listen to June's chatter and not smile!

I loved this book. Frankie is a free spirit who kept me entertained through the whole book. In typical Molly Harper fashion, this isn't angsty. A humorous read with some serious moments. Amanda Ronconi's narration was delightful as usual.

So I got to the end of the story and wondered where the romance was. Not a lot of interaction between the people who were supposed to be the main couple. Basically it set the scene for the next book in the series.

I listened to this book three times before writing the review. I was hoping my opinion would change as I read Molly Harper regularly and a few of her books are my go-to reads. I agree with other reviewers, this should have been included as a prologue to the next book.

That said, it does have a self-contained storyline in the death of a boater. Presumably the other storyline of a prankster will continue in the next book. I'm reading that now so I lose that feeling of disappointment with this book. I still have faith in Harper books, but I'm guessing this will not be a re-read for me.

To end on a positive note, narrator Amanda Ronconi did her usual great job and gave the story the boost it needed.

I love the Pride and Honey Badgers series. This wasn't one of my stand-out favorites, but still a fun listen. There were enough intertwining stories and characters, that I had to listen to it twice to follow every thread, but that's no hardship. We get visits from the main characters of previous books which gives a feeling of a community that I love to visit.

A very fun and engaging story. Sometimes I came out of the comedy a little and thought what I just heard was a little too silly. I think that says more about me than it does about the book. I like when I can't figure out the solution to the mystery until the last quarter of the book. It definitely keeps me interested in continuing the series and I'm sure I'll listen to this one again.

Usually I love the combination of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi. This time the story did not grab me, but still loved Amanda's narration (and Jonathan Davis's as well).

Another reviewer pointed out that there were too many instances of cutting away to scenes with characters of previous books in the series. Maybe that was it. The diversions may have made it harder to get into the romance and main characters.

I listened to this two or three times and just couldn't give it a higher rating, much as I wanted to.
