Sadly I didn’t get lost if I fell asleep listening and missed an hour or so. That tells me the story has lots of repetition and filler.
I may have to go back and see if I missed the dragon action. Seems there wasn’t much dragon in a book titled Dragonslayer.
It was mostly a good listen. Mr. Bray has a lot to do with that. I do love Duke but one can get too much banter. Like others said Skippy is now a dog, a jinn, and a huge cat.
I’m more of a hard science fiction type person than a fantasy reader. Magic is not really my cup of tea. I do want to know who Sarah really was.

I've listened to the book twice. I need to buy another hard copy because I shared my first copy with someone.
Once I grew a little as a Christian I thought of the Bible as our instruction manual for living. Thanks for sharing the guard rail analogy.
I don't have the words to express how much I like this book. I think MK Backstrom took all the good words. (Smile.)

I had trouble listening to the reader. Her voice was fine but I couldn't relate to her cadence, intonation and phrasing. Not sure those words capture what felt off to me.
The story is fascinating and deserves to be better known. What horrors those poor women endured.

Cannot Be The Entire Story

The music was jarring, annoying and lasted too long. Sound effects were not needed. The footsteps during the soccer game were distracting. The voices were pretty good and I'm interested enough in the story to want to know the ending. Strange production.
