Stat Updates Don't Bother Me Anymore

When I listened to the first book of this series I dreaded the what seemed to be endless narration of stat changes throughout the book. Five books later and I've had a change of heart...I tried to give it up and try other similar LIT RPG books but I kept comparing them to the amazing story line and character development as "The Land". I missed Riktor and the constant interrupt ions of his skills and quests turned out to not be a deal breaker.

I am waiting patiently for the next book :)

A Must Read for Those Who Hated Textbooks

I hated school and reading combined back in highschool. I wish I had heard of this sooner!

The author compiles what would usually be boring and turns it into a page turner. I was facinated about each plague and the eccentric ways people tried to treat each one.

Is it wrong that I found exploding frogs interesting? Absolutely Not

Not the sequel I hoped for...

I definitely struggled to finish it because the storyline was so repetitive. I even caught some moments when they were talking and what was said was not accurate to the first book. The one redeeming factor was that you got to hear the voices of the other people A inhabited for a day.

Dont listen via Audiobook Read the Kindle version!

Unless an abridged audiobook comes out I recommend physically reading it.

The storyline and character progression is great which is why I liked the book in general.

Throughout the book it often lists the status of his current skills which makes sense because it's based off your basic RPG game.

It happens consistently as the main character progresses and the stat list as a whole doesn't often change drastically.

For example, if his hitpoints or stamina has yet to increase it's not of much importance at that time.
At least when you read the book you can skim the updated stats but in the audiobook its not abridged and therefore reads every single stat aloud to you which can take upwards of a couple minutes.

Narcissistic Mothers... relatable right?

Great read for those who have struggled with relationships with their family. I found it very relatable. The main characters struggle with coming to the realization not everyone will treat her like her mother treated her or the mental institution hits hard.
