Engaging narration, characters with depth, great story.
Revisado: 02-03-24
The narrator nailed the accents, English and French. I was along for the ride and could not tell where we were going to end up, but when we got there it all fit in true Mary Stewart style.

Historia
Wizard Lily Singer is kept busy managing library archives, studying magic, and trying to keep her witch friend Sebastian from dragging her into trouble. Unfortunately, he loves adventure even more than she loves being left alone. She doesn't want to investigate a malignant spell in a haunted house, but Sebastian is promising rare books as the reward. She also doesn't want to hurt her family but is tired of being lied to about her past. And she definitely doesn't want to get stuck in a dangerously unstable time loop, but Sebastian is in trouble - again....

Not as charming as it could have been
Revisado: 09-03-23
This seemed like it would be a charming mystery with a bit of adventure and magic, but the narrator read much of it like it was a newscast or even a textbook. It didn’t work for me.

To delve into this audio book genuinely helps this particular listener, and sometimes reader, to better cope with the aftereffects of my brain injury. Thank you J.K. Rowling for persevering with and allowing your many co-equally talented collaborators to produce this audio performance along with its related physical products. I am very grateful to have discovered this work as it has helped me during personal difficulties.
