This book is like a huge wave of love
Revisado: 08-19-18
I’ve just finished the 5 books in the Wrinkle in Time series and the three additional Arm of the Starfish series. I could have ended with An Acceptable time, but I think it serves as the end to both series. I’m glad I finished both series with A House Like a Lotus. It is a book of great depth and also so beautifully straightforward in its message. One of the best books I’ve ever read.

Could not put this book down
Revisado: 08-10-18
This book kept me engaged from the beginning to the end. Felt deeply connected to the characters and loved the visual descriptions of the different places described. I’ve just finished the Time Quintet — this book is quite different and in some ways my favorite by L’Engle so far. Now onto the next book in the series!

Richness, depth, a sense of interconnectedness
Revisado: 07-04-18
I have just finished the first three books in the Time Quintet series. This is by far the deepest and most emotionally rich of the three. There are some cultural problems with the story which grow out of beliefs and biases from the time when the book was written - especially the over-idealization of American Indian culture as innocent and pure, which has a bit of a racist overtone. But aside from a few of these problems, the story is compelling. The book makes you feel the interconnectedness of humanity and it stresses the importance of living to heal the past and the future. Highly recommend.
