Historia
Stoneybridge is a small town on the west coast of Ireland where all the families know one another. When Chicky Starr decides to take an old, decaying mansion set high on the cliffs overlooking the windswept Atlantic Ocean and turn it into a restful place for a holiday by the sea, everyone thinks she is crazy. Helped by Rigger (a bad boy turned good who is handy around the house) and Orla, her niece (a whiz at business), Chicky is finally ready to welcome the first guests to Stone House’s big warm kitchen, log fires, and understated elegant bedrooms.

What did you like best about A Week in Winter? What did you like least?
The story starts out interestingly enough. Her characters are always relatable, and the story develops quickly. The problems start about 2/3 - 3/4 of the way into the book when she brings in new characters. I found it hard to follow and much less interesting after that point. In fact, I didn't finish it.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have left the story line alone without the introduction of new characters at the end of the book.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
This part was fine. I don't really care for the narrator who tries to act the book. She does this a bit.
Could you see A Week in Winter being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No.
