Short but catchy. Fun, easy listening.

I'll gladly wait for the later books to be narrated by Alex Wyndham. I hope he works on his female voices.

Historia
Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

Entertaining
Revisado: 10-19-20
Funny at times. Once I recognized the narrator was able to give each character a different voice, I got used to the main character being naive and sweet. The story was great and I’m interested in the next.

Mother and warrior. Scholar and spy. Rebel and hero. Set in a magical world of terror and wonder, this novel is a deeply felt epic of courage and war, in which the fates of these characters intertwine - and where ordinary people become heroes, and their lives become legend.

Listen to it again
Revisado: 12-08-17
What made the experience of listening to A Plague of Giants the most enjoyable?
A new world and story is exposed by Kevin's writing. Love Kevin and Luke from the Iron Druid series and Oberon's Meaty Mysteries.I like the narrator Xe Sands. The first character, the female mariner, came across so sad. I thought it started pretty dark, but I listened on as I knew the story was going to be good. I didn't have the problem with the accent that other reviewers have had (I've had to give up on Game of Thrones). I'd give this book a second chance. I'll be listening again. Know what Kevin does well? Let's people die with such reverence and awe, I get pretty choked up. You won't find out what I mean unless you get more than half-way or more!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I want to find out what happens to all the characters.

Historia
M is a magician of modest wit, dim ability, and few scruples, who would prefer to spend his easy immortality drinking artisanal beer and making eyes at smiling women. Alas, in the infinite nexus of the universe that is New York City, equilibrium is no easy thing to maintain. Canal pirates, drug-induced divinities, pocket steam-punk universes, hipster zombies, ex-girlfriends, and the devil are all taken in easy stride.

Historia
In what is considered one of Heinlein's most hair-raising, thought-provoking, and outrageous adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the strange story of an even stranger world. It is 21st-century Luna, a harsh penal colony where a revolt is plotted between a bashful computer and a ragtag collection of maverick humans, a revolt that goes beautifully until the inevitable happens. But that's the problem with the inevitable: it always happens.

One of Heinlein's Best - well read
Revisado: 01-02-12
What did you love best about The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress?
The story is one of the best sci-fi about humans, machines, and politics. There's some good technology discussed ... mostly how rocks can be thrown at earth from the moon.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress?
Conspiracies start with 3 people (or 4 if you include the AI computer). Tanstaafl, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
What does Lloyd James bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The reader's accent added to the story and he did a good job with all voices males and female.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The end of the book is particularly moving.
