Historia
Miranda July’s second novel confirms the brilliance of her unique approach to fiction. With July’s wry voice, perfect comic timing, unabashed curiosity about human intimacy, and palpable delight in pushing boundaries, All Fours tells the story of one woman’s quest for a new kind of freedom. Part absurd entertainment, part tender reinvention of the sexual, romantic, and domestic life of a forty-five-year-old female artist, All Fours transcends expectation while excavating our beliefs about life lived as a woman.

It took a while for me to actually get into it
Revisado: 01-09-25
The first part of the book is really un engaging. It takes a while to get to the meat of it. The author narrates the book, but her voice doesn’t really lend into other characters so it’s hard to separate her from the rest of the people in the story. I rarely take the time to write a review, but this really wasn’t as good as it was promised in the reviews. It’s an OK book but not great.

Historia
Welcome to the Barkley Marathons, a fever dream of an ultra event, inspired by a prison break, heralded by a conch blast, paid for in cigarettes and socks, and completed only by a select few. A race in which competitors haul themselves up mountains, through extreme weather conditions, beyond pain and exhaustion, mile after mile. Completed 60 miles? That’s just the fun run. In the Spell of the Barkley is a story of sporting obsession, exploring what drives individuals to challenge themselves at the limits of what is possible – and what it takes to succeed.

Loved most of this book
Revisado: 04-10-24
I really love this book, but I was coming to the end of it, it really bothered me that he mentioned that ultrarunning was now attractive to the “average housewife’. Being a month of two boys with a full-time job and a run I can assure you that there is nothing ever in a housewife that takes up running for fun. Specially, not ultrarunning. Arthur is a single man with no children that can plan his day around training. Try doing that while taking care of your memories and keeping a job and the household.

A Masterpiece in Storytelling Mastery!
Revisado: 11-12-23
I have just experienced the audiobook version of "The Perfect Story" by Karen Eber, and I must say, the narration is nothing short of exceptional. It breathed life into the already brilliant content, making it a listening experience I won't forget.
The narrator's voice was not only engaging but also perfectly aligned with the book's theme. Their tone, pacing, and intonation brought out the depth of Karen Eber's insights, making the journey through the world of storytelling truly immersive.
Eber's book, "The Perfect Story," is a masterpiece in storytelling, and the narrator did an outstanding job of conveying its wisdom and practicality through their narration. It felt like I was being guided by a seasoned storyteller, which added a layer of authenticity to the audiobook.
What I appreciate most about this audiobook is its ability to captivate the listener. The narrator's voice kept me hooked from start to finish, and I found myself eagerly absorbing each chapter's knowledge and advice. It's a testament to both Eber's writing and the narrator's skill.
"The Perfect Story" not only teaches the art and science of storytelling but also provides actionable steps that anyone can apply. The narrator's clear and articulate delivery ensured that these steps were easy to understand and implement. Whether you're a novice or an experienced storyteller, this audiobook is a valuable resource.
In addition to the content itself, the audiobook includes interviews with accomplished storytellers, which further enrich the listening experience. Hearing their voices and insights added a personal touch that enhanced the book's overall impact.
In conclusion, "The Perfect Story" in audiobook format is a gem. If you're looking to elevate your storytelling skills, I highly recommend giving it a listen. The combination of Karen Eber's expertise and the superb narration makes it an audiobook that not only informs but also entertains. It's a journey through the art of storytelling that you won't want to miss.

Historia

Historia
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

What an amazing audiobook and very engaging storyline
Revisado: 09-10-21
This is my first review ever in audible although I have been listening to audiobooks for quite a few years. I purchased this book hesitantly because I’ve never heard of the author before. I have to say I absolutely loved it. It kept me engaged and the narrator is freaking fantastic. Immediately after finishing this book I download it another book from him and can’t wait to get started.
