Historia
I am the last remaining Sylvian. The final warrior in a line of Lycan-Undead hybrids. Because of the demon that resides within me, I mistakenly slaughtered my family when I was ten. But my family is not just any ordinary family. My father was the king. I’ve been on the run my entire life, wanted for treason. But now my enemies have my daughter, the only person on this earth I have left to love. For her, I will fight.

superb world building
Revisado: 03-31-25
I really enjoyed the world-building in Bloodlust. The setting and lore were well-developed, making it easy to get lost in the story. One of my favorite aspects was the descriptions of the undead—some were so blunt that they had me chuckling. It was a nice balance of eerie and entertaining.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator had a really pleasant voice that suited the story well. However, I did find that while driving, the audio sometimes got drowned out unless I turned the bass way down.
Overall, Bloodlust was an enjoyable read, and I definitely think my husband will love it too—I plan to have him listen next!

loved this story
Revisado: 12-26-24
If you're into dominant male main characters and a slow-burn romance that keeps you on edge, you'll absolutely love Kiernan in Of Blood and Aether. Harper Hawthorne weaves an intoxicating tale that perfectly balances steamy tension, intricate world-building, and a storyline that pulls you in from the first page.
Kiernan is everything you want in a MMC—commanding, intense, and yet layered with complexities that make him irresistibly captivating. The chemistry between the characters simmers and builds at the perfect pace, leaving you eager for more with every chapter.
This story was so good, and I can't wait to see where Harper Hawthorne takes us next. If you're a fan of dark romance with fantasy elements, this book deserves a spot on your TBR
One thing about this audio book is that the female narrator I had a hard time hearing at times, it felt like she kind of mumbled.
