Before this book, I had known Trevor Noah as "That Guy who replaced John Stewart." I had seen one stand-up special and thought he was funny. I figured I'd roll the dice on this. Wow, am I ever so glad I did.

Having Mr. Noah narrate is a blessing. Instead of feeling like someone was reading a book to me, I felt like we were sitting around a campfire, drinking a beer, while Trevor told me about his upcoming.

This book touches topics of racism, religion, domestic issues, poverty and barriers between people. I cannot stress enough how amazed I am with Trevor's story and how blessed I feel to be able to have heard it.

His mother is an amazing woman who you will find out, has had to overcome some insane obstacles.

This book carries with it the "human" element and is a real look at humanity. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

I've always enjoyed books, but struggle to focus on physically reading them. Groupon offered two free months to Audible and I picked this book up to start with. I received a paper copy of it months ago from a Loot Crate but again, lacked the ability to just hunker down and read it. Wil Wheaton hooked me. His voice, his inflection, his characters, all wonderful. I'll be seeking other books narrated by him as well.

As for the actual story? Ready Player One is a geeky cyberpunk adventure story with action, 80s pop culture, love, space travel, and the world's largest MMO. It was great to listen to. I was legitimately sad when it was over that I couldn't keep hearing more of the story and more about the characters I fell in love with.
