Historia
The Nazi regime preached an ideology of physical, mental, and moral purity. But as Norman Ohler reveals in this gripping new history, the Third Reich was saturated with drugs. On the eve of World War II, Germany was a pharmaceutical powerhouse, and companies such as Merck and Bayer cooked up cocaine, opiates, and, most of all, methamphetamines, to be consumed by everyone from factory workers to housewives to millions of German soldiers.

Drugs destroyed Hitler
Revisado: 04-17-21
I have not been able to check if the story is true. But as reader of history, this make sense. The scary truth seems to tell that drugs almost made the Nazis win the war, but also caused their demise! The big blunders that was done, may was caused by the influence of drugs!? Most likely! Unknown to to me before reading this book! Read it!

Historia
In the chaos following World War II, the US government faced many difficult decisions, including what to do with the Third Reich's scientific minds. These were the brains behind the Nazis' once-indomitable war machine. So began Operation Paperclip, a decades-long, covert project to bring Hitler's scientists and their families to the United States. Many of these men were accused of war crimes, and others had stood trial at Nuremberg; one was convicted of mass murder and slavery.

Impressive
Revisado: 02-03-20
Very good book, the only missing would been to see what the Russian actually did in the same period. Disgusting to see that a first degree killer can be firmly punished. But those responsible for killing by the thousands getting away because they likely is “needed”! Well just ask them and they will tell you that, fear the Russian! Stalin and the Russian was really bad too , not so industrial in their killing but as good or better than the German... even with their own people. It seems clear that the trust in German scientists may transferred some legacy that contributed to start the he Cold War. Unbelievable to feel the lacking of feeling for what happened with the Jewish people and to understand that the Russian never would allow the German be able to do this to them again, never ever again. I thought I knew this story, but I didn’t, read it!
