There were several twists and turns that kept you on your edge of your seat! But, I loved the picture of Forgiveness at the end!

Good Read
Revisado: 09-06-24
I liked the book because it was easy to follow and the voice of the characters were exactly how I would have pictured them. I read a chapter and listen to a chapter. I felt like I was really transported back in time by their voices.

Historia
Meet Denver, raised under plantation-style slavery in Louisiana until he escaped the “Man” in the 1960’s by hopping a train. Untrusting, uneducated, and violent, he spends 18 years on the streets of Dallas and Fort Worth. Meet Ron Hall, a self-made millionaire in the world of high-priced deals—an international arts dealer who moves between upscale New York galleries and celebrities. It seems unlikely that these two men would meet under normal circumstances, but when Deborah Hall, Ron's wife, meets Denver, she sees him through God's eyes of compassion.

Great Read/Listen
Revisado: 04-23-24
This was a very interesting story. It is heart warming and is a huge encouragement to step out of one's comfort zone to help others, be aware of the Holy Spirit's prompting, and be creative in your actions. It is a true Testament of Unconditional love, Faith in God, and Perservance.

Outstanding!
Revisado: 07-04-23
I enjoyed this historical fiction by Mrs. Dolen Perkins-Valdez. I read some chapters and used Audible for others. This author knows how to make the reader feel like they are up front and centered in this novel. One can feel emotions, embody the setting, and understand each and every character. It was intense and thought-provoking. I actually looked up the "Relf" sisters, the real-life case information. I was so upset to know that this really occurred. This novel was a true page-turner.
