Such a woe poor is me stuck in her teenage yrs MFC!

Can not stand this MFC!
Not fond of the narrators, either.
Mind you it’s been more than a hot minute since I read this series. . . Maybe my taste in books have changed.
Maybe it’s the narrators?
The female narrator has such a whining tone with the MFC. But, then again the MFC does NOTHING BUT WHINE.

Dislike . . Everything
I try to give every author or narrator a chance.
I listened doggedly listened to the first book.
Skipped through the 2nd.
3rd I can’t even finish.
Storyline is stilted and trite. Give the characters more depth than ‘best on my chest I’m the man that’s why’ and constant sex.
The narrator is so stilted and flat. No differences between character other than a VERY Russian sounding what is supposed to be Romanian

Good thing I read this book before buying the audiobook. I as least liked the book before having to listen to this narrator.
Unfortunately, for this author, this is not the first time a HORRIBLE narrator has been chosen for her books. Motorcycle Man comes to mind.
Her pronunciation for some words would make the story stutter for me. I could ignore her grating tone as Hannah. She was terrible as Miss Mildred who was born n raised in Louisiana. As for her take on Raiden - absolutely NOT

I did try . . Made it into Chap. 12 before giving up.
This was not for me.
Seems very bland and drawn out.

Change of Narrator begins with #5.5.

This narrators voice was easy and pleasant to listen to . . . BUT
The first 5 books were narrated by Harry Berkeley.
When the characters that you are introduced to and continue to encounter in ALL the books . . Mr Bereley has a talent for distinctive styles, inflections and accents for each person . . that Mr. Paul, sadly, does NOT!
This, in my opinion, made it hard for me to enjoy this book.
As the rest of this series continues with Mr. Paul (#5.5 - 9), then #10 is narrated by Tad Branson . . I will probably buy these at the Kindle web site, to read.

Very. Robotic. Voice.
Little to no inflection or intonations to make this an enjoyable audio experience.
Not my first by this author.
While this author, in my opinion, isn't the greatest - her other books have a good sense of humor and multiple LOL moments that makes for an entertaining experience.
This book did not have any of those moments.

Authors books by David Brenin are better.

Well written and narrated, as always.

I have issues . . . boy, do I have some issues.
Matt was portrayed as an honorable and giving man.
This SAME man back stabbed his super shy friend, Paul.
Remember, Paul saw Vanessa first. Pointed her out to Matt as the one he, Paul, was interested. A N D what did Matt do? Matt being the "fine and upstanding Marine" that he was cut off Matt, put a full court press on Vanessa and making his claim on her.
He cut Paul off at the knees, knowing a REAL man would honor his (Matt), albeit sneaky and under handed, claim.
What a douche.
At the same time, Vanessa noticed Paul first in the bar . . . and instead of being an adult . . . she let herself be distracted by a bright, shiney, noisy toy.
How much could she have "loved" Matt to develope deeper feelings for Paul and begin being jealous of Paul's time and wonder who he was seeing.
Remember, during this time, Vanny was heavily pregnant with Matt's son.
What a mess!

Rose comes across as a willful self centered brat that knows EVERYTHING! Absolutely REFUSING to listen to any advice that dosen't coincide with HER wants and needs.
I do have empathy for her Mothers disease. . . BUT . . how hard is it to be a grown up and ASK Leonidas?

DID NOT FINISH!
Finally gave up with 4m 9s remaining in Chapter 20!
For Gods sake? SERIOUSLY!?
After catching him off guard with a declaration of soul deep undying love . . . he needed a minute!!
They had been best friends since childhood and Chloe was the one who stopped telling Trip she loved him!
That would tend to make a teenage/YA boy afraid to say something that could loose his best friend!!
Trip TRIED FOR MONTHS (begging) to talk to her and got stoned walled!
Chloe's best friend talked to get her to pull her head out of her spoiled rotten ASS!
And it's HIS fault he ran out of hope and moved on.
Its HIS fault all their first weren't with each other.
Its HIS fault she GAVE her V card away to someone she didn't love. Anyone remember that she supposedly still loves him?! GGRRR!
Why, you ask?
Because . . . let's recap here . . .
Trip ran after her, continued to beg her to talk to him for MONTHS, her best friend BEGGED her to talk to Trip, for MONTHS . . . and its STILL ALL HIS FAULT!
Jesus save me from self absorbed narsassitic beatches!

Love the voices of these characters.

Love the sexy accented voice of Rio that the narrator gave this character.
As this series progresses, book by book, we're feed bits of the mystery.
This one brings several pieces together.
