What an amazing strength Britney has shown throughout her life. Shame on all of those people that have taken advantage of her for their own personal benefit. This memoir is beautifully told and read by Michelle Williams. It really provides insights from Britney’s perspective on all of the big media events over the years and the fact that she did everything she could just to see her children…and was ultimately punished for that. I’m sure her story will continue. Thank you for sharing your story Britney.

He shares it all!

Before listening to this you should remember that this man is born into royalty which is privilege, and so you need to remove your bias towards white privilege and really listen to the story he’s telling.

His family lives under a magnifying glass in the world media, Harry tells his side on what that feels like. Growing up and always having a team of bodyguards and a gaggle of papps everywhere he went, invading every relationship and being responsible for the death of his mother has left him with deep trauma.

He shares his relationships of those close to him and his loving bond with his father and brother who are so consumed by their “work” that they can’t see the damage it is causing on a personal level.

I enjoyed the journey from boyhood to adulthood and he wasn’t afraid to talk about his own frostbitten Willy!

So predictable

I’d hoped for something amazing given the good rating. It’s always nice to find a good new author but this was disappointing. The story was so predictable. I forced myself to push through hoping for a great twist which never came.
I’ve listened to a few books with this similar narrator style and I’m finding it a bit tedious to listen to.
It was also painful listening to every female character having a serious character flaw.

A true insight into the next President of the USA

This was a wonderful book where Joe Biden shares a tough year in his life that saw the death of his beloved son Beau during his second term as Vice President.

It is clear that Joe is a family man that has devoted his life to duty in politics. He has a very clear purpose and I now feel very well informed about the person that he is.

So well performed, Joe takes you on a very emotional journey...you’ll need some tissues for this one.

I didn’t expect to love this book so much, as had downloaded through audibles featured author for free. I never listen to fiction - more of a business/professional development fan. But I could not stop listening once I started. I listened to the whole 9 hours in 2 days. So many twists and turns, beautifully written, narrated, and so much intrigue. I loved it and am now going to search for more Jane Harper! If you want to a break from the normal and a little escapism - you’ll love The Dry.
