Historia
When the grain crop failed in Kansas it seemed like an isolated incident and no one took much notice. Except Ed Hardesty. Then the blight spread to California's fruit harvest, and from there, like wildfire, throughout the nation. Suddenly America woke up to the fact that her food supplies were almost wiped out. Her grain reserves lethally polluted. And botulism was multiplying at a horrifying rate.

That was a slog

Billed as a post apocalyptic story, it’s really more of a muddled mystery about a group of people trying to figure out what’s happening as the country’s food supply is rendered inedible. It’s an ok story, but just not that interesting. It’s more about the characters and very little about how it happened or why it happened.
The narration is so bad it’s almost funny - like it’s a parody except it isn’t. The narrator sounds like he’s dryly delivering the nightly news, even when he’s actually narrating fairly graphic sex scenes.
