Historia
No other artwork in the world is comparable to the Virgin of Guadalupe. What makes this painting unique - located in the Basilica of Guadalupe, north of Mexico City - is not precisely its artistic quality, as is the case with the Mona Lisa by Leonardo or The Kiss by Gustav Klimt, nor its place in the evolution of painting.

I didn't like the scientific-like approach that cast doubt to this very strong religious aspect of this monumental apparition. I didn't believe some aspects of this account.

Entertaining & Interesting but Would Not Recommend
Revisado: 06-03-22
Learned about her road to fame, meeting husband story and giving birth stories were the most touching and sincere - that's what I enjoyed the most.
The overly materialistic girl was a turn off but typical of LA women so no surprise there.
The F word I feel was overly used for effect versus emphasis. Not necessary at the frequency used.
The ONLY mention of God throughout was when she was damning him. No reference of faith or belief in God.
Way too many seemingly comical metaphors were used. Editors or publishers went a bit far. Many phrases were a bit intellectual for an 8th grade education- oh and in first few paragraphs talks about high school so confused about HS reference when she kept saying she dropped out in 8th grade.
This was an extension of Selling Sunset but in writing. I do wish her well but hope her entire being is not only measured by wealth, name dropping, and material things. But again, that's LA.
Book was all over the place from bio to career to stock market to modeling to mentoring, etc etc. There was no one focus or theme but trying to be Dale Carnegie, Oprah and Dr. Phil in one without expertise. All over the place.
Kudos Christine...you made it regardless of how.

Historia
Because of the prophetic nature of her messages, Our Lady of Fatima has been the subject of much controversy and speculation. In this audiobook, Father Andrew Apostoli carefully analyzes the events that took place in Fatima and clears up lingering questions and doubts about their meaning. He also challenges the reader to hear anew the call of Our Lady to prayer and sacrifice, for the world is ever in need of generous hearts willing to make reparation for those in danger of losing their way to God.

THE Most Influential Book
Revisado: 09-26-20
I could not stop listening. Very well written, narrated and substantiated. LOVED IT! I was inspired to read this after seeing the extraordinary movie in 2020 titled "Fatima". I did not fully know this account and as devout Catholic took special interest. I found this book quite randomly on Audible, or now I can say guided by the Holy Spirir. Not only did I enjoy the movie and book tremendously, but my faith increased and I now find myself praying more, including the Rosary almost daily. The beauty of this is that my heart and soul enjoy it very much as it's a spiritual wealth I did not previously have at this level. Any Christian of any denomination would feel similar closeness to God and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I think the priest/author could have left out some minor judgement comments in the beginning but it did not deter my enthusiasm as it did not continue throughout. I highly recommend it and hope to visit Fatima in Portugal.

Historia
The author of the best seller Call Me by Your Name revisits its beguiling characters decades after their first meeting. In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever. Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, now a New England college professor with a family, finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 06-14-20
I struggled to get into it in the print copy but I did want to read the story so I purchase the Audible. Also found it dragging too long in certain scenes. However, I did enjoy the ending. I'm hoping the movie will be as good as the first movie. Perhaps I'm more visual than poetic. not sure the narrator was correct person for entire novel. I could never "see" him as the other characters since he did such an excellent job as Sami. I would have preferred different narrators for different roles like Oliver and Elio even in first-person narration.
