For me Josh L books were either hit or miss... this was such a miss! The MCs were nice but the mystery not so much satisfying. For the MCs I would go for the next book but have low expectations on it being a mystery or thriller !!

Love this series!!! started to listen once I subscribed to Audible escape. best decision made ! Could not stop listening! The Narrator did an excellent job too. Would definitely read rest of the author’s books and also the narrator.
Can’t say why I gave story one less star without revealing the twist so... listen to it.

I usually don’t give 5 star if the mystery book doesn’t have humor in it. But the story is very captivating and with a good narration didn’t want to stop listening! Going to move to next book in the series!!!

The story starts well. the thriller and romance is kept at a good pace. This is First book in the series I have heard and first book of Andrew Grey. Will I continue reading the series? Yes! Will read any of his books? Maybe
Narrator: it’s Greg T!!! Love his narration! He is the reason I gave this series a try. As usual G’s voice variations and dialogue delivery are exceptional. His work is a bit extra than others!

Pros:
Excellent creation of supers world! As usual Mary excelled in a different supernatural world and captivates readers in spite of insisting introspective monologues.

Love her books!

This is no exception to her books, the strong female character who is academic.
But what is different is the transgender character. I wished a bit more into transgender's struggle. The family not able to understand and not supporting her in the change she choose is very meager but done to support the insecurities she has in her life.
It was my first female transgender book & I loved Milan's trade mark female personality mix!
As for the voices it was OK. But the variation is good.
