The first book is awful. I’ll just say that. The second is probably the best but even it is mediocre and has the same issues, and the third is somewhere in the middle.

I can’t even properly review the story. Everything is read without emotion, it’s like an instructional video on MS Excel.

More!
I enjoyed this a lot, my biggest complaint is that it is the last work by the author who I hope writes faster.

The story is weird. It feels very 1940s and (without spoilers) the main character is a MASSIVE Mary Sue.
As I mentioned, it does feel very 40s, and where 40s pieces would usually push traditional morality, Hubbard pushes his weird pseudo-science morality. So it's not impossible to get into, there are a fair bit of moments that'll leave you going- "Wait, what the heck!?"

A lot of it is just the author's opinion on literally everything from history to philosophy to war to art to science to architecture. And some of the sci-fi is pretty interesting, and some is pretty weird.

But the HUGE cast really sends it home, some of the acting is so-so, but the sheer volume of it, makes it really come alive. I'd say averaging out the good, the bad, and the weird- it's not bad.

Easy to hear, no nonsense wake up call. Plenty of action items, mantras and easy lifestyle changes, fun stories and realizations that Hey! I already have what I need.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Misogynists, swingers, people who like awful smug characters.

What three words best describe Christopher Hurt’s performance?

Eh, he was okay. He had some vocal fry, but nothing that would have killed a book that was actually good.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No. Well, the first hour of it *seemed* like it would have some kind of plot. So if you want to listen to just that and then just make the rest up on your own, you'll be happier.

Any additional comments?

No, I've spent enough time on this(and I use the term loosely) book.
The author literally writes himself into the story as Hugh Hefner mixed with Tony Stark as the world's creepiest Mary Sue. The whole thing is the self-important swinger's communist manifesto with a THIN layer of plot casually sprayed on top.
