Historia
Living a modern life requires juggling a ton of information. But we were never taught how to manage this information effectively so that we can find what we need when we need it. In The PARA Method, Tiago Forte outlines a simple and intuitive four-step system that will help us sort all the information flooding our brains into four major categories—Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archives—allowing us to manage our commitments while achieving our goals and dreams.

Good for someone totally unfamiliar with PARA
Revisado: 08-02-24
I liked some of the discussion of implementing PARA, but there was so little of it! Way too much time saying how great PARA is, and too little on implementation and issues that might come up. I guess PARA is pretty simple but I was hoping for new insights vs a high level bare bones on what it is.

An irresistible compilation of five previously published stories by the best-selling author of the Kate Daniels series, including Kate’s very first meeting with Saiman, some related adventures, two unforgettable "outside" excursions, and new material from both Curran and Jim’s point of view.

Historia
After suffering a personal tragedy, Abby Sullivan buys a huge old seaside mansion she has never even seen, packs up her life in San Francisco, and moves to Holiday Bay Maine, where she is adopted, quite against her will, by a huge Maine Coon Cat named Rufus, a drifter with her own tragic past named Georgia, and a giant dog with an inferiority complex named Ramos. What Abby thought she needed was alone time to heal. What she ended up with was an inn she never knew she wanted, a cat she couldn't seem to convince to leave, and a new family she'd never be able to live without.

Narrator was hard to listen to
Revisado: 03-07-22
This narrator has a cute voice and did well on the various character voices. However, her inflection and emphasis on certain words was so inappropriate for the story that it was hard to listen. She would consistently pronounce I said or he said type phrases as though they were complete new thoughts with exciting new information. There were also other various sentences where the emphasis did not reflect the sense of the sentence. If she can stop inflecting the i saids that way and do a better job of matching her inflection to the sentence meaning I think she could be a good narrator. As it is, I’m going to try to return the book.

Loved the book
Revisado: 08-21-18
I was a little frustrated by some of the voices that were unpleasant to listen to. Perseverance had a lovely voice as did Fitz. But every royal had a quality I associate with a querulous, haughty, and overly fastidious old person, who looks down his or her nose at everything and everyone. This did not mesh with the personalities of the characters. In addition, there were quite a few very nasal voices such as Lant and Rain was painful to hear. Worst of all was the Fool sounding like a villain in a B movie. Cringeworthy and again seemed to me out of place. The Fool lived many years including much of his childhood in Buck, and was able to slip convincingly into one role after another so why the inability to pronounce so many letters? Painful to hear. On a minor note, I would have also appreciated a little more consistency with prior books as to pronunciation of names.
