Historia
S.T., a domesticated crow, is a bird of simple pleasures: hanging out with his owner Big Jim, trading insults with Seattle's wild crows (i.e. "those idiots"), and enjoying the finest food humankind has to offer: Cheetos®. Then Big Jim's eyeball falls out of his head, and S.T. starts to think something isn't quite right. Even the slobbering affection of Big Jim's loyal but dim-witted dog, Dennis, fails to cure Big Jim's debilitating malady. S.T. is left with no choice but to abandon his old life and venture out into a wild and frightening new world with his trusty steed Dennis.

Was intrigued but not for me
Revisado: 08-06-22
If you like enviromental preaching crap this may be your book but this is a drawn out story with little interest. The story is told from the viewpoint of animals and was clearly written as some strange enviromental hit piece. I am a big fan of fiction and I enjoy reading and listening to a lot of books. I dont mind hearing different sides of any viewpoint but the story was such hat I couldnt eeven finish it after wasting a credit on it.

A good story told poorly
Revisado: 08-06-22
I have read and listened to a great number of books spanning, fiction to history and everything in between. This series of books cost me 4 credits i will never get back and I should have stopped on the first book but wanted to see it to the end. The story is sound but the telling of it is not so good. The lead character seems to be the only capable person in the story and seems to have to do everything for anything to happen. This could have been told in a single book minus the many odd side stories that lead almost nowhere and side chactors that are developed for no reason. I think the author was heavily influenced by other, better fantasy writters and is more inclinde to a script than a book. This almost reads like some third rate fantasy show, like it was written and drawn out to be 4 seasons on Amazon Primevideo rather than a book.

Historia
The Second World War lasted for 2,174 days, cost $1.5 trillion, and claimed the lives of more than 50 million people. Why did the Axis lose? And could they, with a different strategy, have won? Andrew Roberts's acclaimed new history has been hailed as the finest single-volume account of this epic conflict. From the western front to North Africa, from the Baltic to the Far East, he tells the story of the war - the grand strategy and the individual experience, the cruelty and the heroism - as never before.

Wonderul, informative, great perspective.
Revisado: 08-06-22
I am a military history buff. This book was a wonderful insight into World War 2. I loved the perpective, covering a great dealof the war never told by the American side. The Eastern war in Europoe was a huge part that is glossed over in most American books about the war, isuppose becuase we had little involvement in it. I think the book is well written and we narrated. I intend to listen again when i have time becuase there is so much information. Thanks

Very enjoyable SciFi book, I kind of lucked on.
Revisado: 08-06-22
I had never read anything from Rick Partlow before this set of books. I enjoyed the narration and the story was good. I have always been a fan of Starship Troopers so this peaked my interest. He has a good deal of military insight and it relays well in the story. The character development is great and very relatable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a realistic scifi story.

A good read
Revisado: 08-06-22
As always Anthony Ryan is one of my favorite fantasy writers. Steven Brand is one of the best narrarators in all the many Audible books i have listened to. The story is a good continuation of the saga but maybe a bit drawn out still a great overall book.

A poor treatment
Revisado: 01-16-21
The book is a set of books about several founding fathers. It is filled with bad historical information that is false or misrepresented. The performances are very bad filled with mispronounced words and repeated misinformation. I would not recommend at all and I listened to the entire thing.
