well written male perspective and characters. shallow, irrelevant female characters. terrible child voice acting and writing. a comfortable and predictable ride. minimizes boring and repetitive status screens, while simultaneously giving plenty of numbers of that's your itch. good ratio, as long as you know what you're getting.
glad I listened. will follow up with the sequel when I have a spare credit lying around and want another one like this.

worth it for the novelty. self aware. insane performance from taylorson. one of the widest ranges of americana accents, and the female characters aren't a grating mockery, at all. if anything, it's a weirdly respectful performance. I can understand that my teen children take umbridge with the idea of performing "stereotypical" accents and speech patterns, but they really do keep it natural to the whole experience and I appreciate it.

RPG fantasy with a cute direction

Better than many in the MC to OP fantasy world. didn't water our time with too many gratuitous details, but still follows the tropes. good storyteller, bad at women like most. at least the female characters have some variety , though I'd prefer if authors didn't write constantly about flat stomachs and ample bosoms like kids that have never met a woman.
gets silly, and no surprises. if you, like me, treasure quantity of fantasy that at least doesn't sound like an "AI", this was plenty enjoyable. on to the next.

Not great. Don't recommend.

Narrator is very good at a range of distinct voices, but all of his women sound like they're whining.

Story is about a Mary Sue guy that is impossibly good at everything, and is surrounded by exposition spouting characters.

Only recommended to people that feel compelled to listen to everything critically.
