Interesting listen
Revisado: 01-06-23
Good audio book, but the author should have hired a professional narrator. Her terrible mispronunciation of the Spanish language through off the rhythm of the book. As a native Spanish speaker, I found it hard to listen after she faltered through the words.

Heart Wrenching listen.
Revisado: 12-20-22
This is the first audio book I've listened to that had songs in it. The narration is done by multiple people who draw you in with different stories, under the auspices of an accident at a coal mining company. There are points in the story where I teared up listening to the tale. Great listen. I'd diffinately recommend this book.

I didn't know what to expect from this audio book when I started it. The author takes you down his Mexican family history with relatable stories with whom anyone, such as myself, grew up. It's definitely worth a listen if just to reminisce.

A book by a Reader for Readers.
Revisado: 12-18-22
I have to admit I'm biased. As an avid reader, I loved it, but to give a true review, I have to be honest. At times, I found it repetitive and more like listening to a mother brag about her kids. I still thoroughly enjoyed the book, and at times, it made me remember why I love reading, but be prepared to go round and round in the same spot during the course of the listen.
