Historia
This is the story of Francesca the Dragon—her winsome journeys from familiar climes to foreign lands, from alienation to acceptance, from dejection to optimism, as recited by father to sleep-shirking son at bedtime request. Raising a child can be daunting—especially if they sense ostracism. Sometimes things get better, and not just believing that but knowing it may foster sufficient intent to change their own narrative.

Tenderly composed and performed; the boundless sky received a being of-a-feather with Jonathan and Puff.

Historia
This is an account of a life lived online. Swiping for approval. Scrolling for gratification. Searching for connection. From the glow of a screen in the middle of the night, to the harsh glare of the hospital waiting room, Validate Me, is a raw and honest look at the highs and the lows of a digital life.

Tap to hear sample... I was enamored with her intense swarms of cadence and sharp courses of metrical hair-pins from the first brief megs of stream. There's a taser to each turn of phrase, solemn shocks that lay a listener low. Her work has a viral vulnerability about it that attaches itself to even the most secure and scanned of systems. This collection, embedded with cache of world-weariness and virtual drives, is an open document of our collective digital loneliness.

Nice production. but there are duplicate tracks

Archival recordings held up well. I enjoyed the recitations. I can't say I appreciated having each read twice. At first, I thought they were alternate readings but the times were exactly the same. Did a lot of fastforwarding. Other than that, I liked it very much.

Historia
Sara Teasdale - winner of a Pulitzer Prize, the Poetry Society of America prize, and other awards - lived for love and beauty and died by her own hand. Her poetry shows vividly what an intensely passionate woman she was, so much so that in some of her poetry she speaks of the impact of beauty in terms of physical pain, and the impact of love in terms of birth and death. She knew the world of her time; her poetry reacts to New York, to Chicago, to Paris; she knew the poets of her time, including a long and painful relationship with the poet Vachel Lindsay.

This is one of three titles by freshwater seas currently in my library. I find them to be extremely clear and thoughtfully performed. I have long cherished Sara Teasdale's works and am glad to have an elegant vocal dramatization of her timeless collection.
