This was more of a general self-help book that used art as an excuse to exist, but it had very little to do with actual artistic practice. Nothing here I havent head 100 times before.
It was also a bit of a self-indulgent reflection on the author's thoughts about dearh. The book can pretty much be summed up in one sentence; Make your art today because you might be dead tomorrow.

A 2 hour book crammed into 13.5 hours.

The first hour of this book was interesting. The last chapter was a good recap. The middle 11.5 hours was a painfully belabored treatise on poetic inspiration. I got to a point that I thought to myself "If he mentions or quotes Whitman one more time I am going to kill myself". Don't waste your time.
