Is it possible to heal by thought alone - without drugs or surgery? The truth is that it happens more often than you might expect. In You Are the Placebo, Dr. Joe Dispenza shares numerous documented cases of those who reversed cancer, heart disease, depression, crippling arthritis, and even the tremors of Parkinson’s disease by believing in a placebo. Similarly, Dr. Joe tells of how others have gotten sick and even died the victims of a hex or voodoo curse - or after being misdiagnosed with a fatal illness.

Scientists Prove What I’ve Been Saying!
Revisado: 03-22-25
Your thoughts, beliefs and programming dictate your life.
We’ve all been programmed by parents, teachers and others who, well meaning or not, started telling us about ourselves since we were born. Doctors give diagnosis and we believe them, even if they hand us a death sentence.
Before a person is 6 years old, they tend to take the pronouncements of authority figures as truth and these truths become their template for the world.
If we don’t realize what we’ve internalized then we’re stuck with the consequences of our beliefs and the world that they create for us along with financial levels, levels of health and relationships that we believe we deserve.
True empowerment comes when we start to examine our beliefs and evaluate whether or not they are serving us and our planet.
Letting go of the old beliefs and replacing them with new models of belief is not as easy as just saying affirmations or deciding with your conscience mind and using willpower.
First, you have to take an unvarnished look at yourself and what you have internalized. Do you believe that, since your parents had a particular illness or a certain type of relationship that you too are destined for the same? Do you expect yourself to be perfect or practice damaging self talk? Are you sure that you can’t succeed because of a negative parent or teacher or whomever? And you are struggling with illness or lack?
Well this doctor has scientific and anecdotal evidence that you can change your subconscious programming and he can start you on the road to nearly magical change!
I’m reading this as part of a Silva Lifestyle reading group. This book is similar in its approach to the work of the late José Silva and reinforces that system. Read if you want to change for the better, get happy and enjoy your life.

Everyone Should Read This!
Revisado: 03-18-25
Science based annotated data presented in an easily accessible format that illustrates how beliefs determine our health, associates and accomplishments.
Scientists have studied the relationship that parents have on their unborn children and how nurture can stunt or cause their children to excel.
For years we’ve been sold the notion that genes predetermine our lives, our health and that nothing can be done about that. But now we’re rediscovering what aboriginal people have known since time immemorial. All things are related, everything is made from the same stuff and this applies to everything! The mind, body and spirit are all connected, all being and nonbeing are connected and our thoughts and beliefs can change the outcome of the whole.

Now Take A Class
Revisado: 03-11-25
This overview of swordsmanship in the Samurai style is just that, an overview. The author gives his opinion about how best to approach a fight whether it be with a single combatant or with an army. Basic common sense things like try to fight from higher ground and don’t slash, cut and finish your opponent. Attitude matters. Now that you have the philosophy go take a class because this is a skill which takes consistent practice to master.

Historia
From time to time, we've all experienced coincidences that seem to be endowed with a special meaning or significance, and that appear to defy the laws of probability. For the most part, these coincidences seem amusing or insignificant. But a famous psychologist defined these moments of meaningful coincidence as "Synchronicity".

Circe Finally Gets to Speak
Revisado: 03-08-25
We’ve heard the story but never from Circes POV. From her vantage point beneath her father, Helios, throne she observes the machinations of gods and men and feels the sting of betrayal.
Banished to a deserted island, she makes the most of her powers, developing her witchcraft, herbal medicine and making friends with the animals that live there.
All is well, lonely but still alive and healthy, Circe keeps up with her former life via her relationship with Hermes.
There’s a shaky truce between the Gods of Olympus and the children of the Titans.
Then the ships begin to arrive.

Awesome Action Packed Adventure
Revisado: 03-03-25
William Gold, son of a man at arms who was killed when William was just a child, was sent, along with his sister, to live with an uncle after their mother died.
The uncle was a goldsmith and was supposed to be teaching William the craft, but what he actually did was beat William and try to rape his sister. William reacted violently and was arrested and tried for thievery. He was supposed to be branded but a church official took pity on him and his sister. William was sent to fight the French and his sister entered a convent.
And so began the exciting journey to knighthood and glory for William Gold.
This book is fascinating, not only for the artfully drawn details of the daily lives of those living in the age of chivalry but for the details of battle, the ideas plumbed by those details. How an accident of birth can render a person a prince or a pauper and how an accident can elevate or dash a person’s life.

A former soldier turned fortune hunter in post civil war America, John Carter inexplicably finds himself transported from a cave in Arizona and winds up on Mars!
Brilliantly imagined, the story is peppered with action, romance and adventure, culminating in a great battle and nearly happy ending.
It’s so interesting to read the John Carter books from the author best known for inventing Tarzan. Never were two characters more different although both had an unerring moral compass that directed their actions and made the reader cheer them on!

Historia
BANGKOK, MARCH 2018. The world looked on in horror as millions of innocent lives were snuffed out in a matter of hours. Countless men, women and children slaughtered without mercy, torn apart by a violent mob that attacked without reason, motive or warning. Tom Freeman witnessed the aftermath. He reported on the tragedy and looked into the eyes of the sole survivor, an old friend, and what he saw looking back sent him running home to the United States. Back to safety. Back to a place where the world made sense, and the putrid stink of the dead didn't haunt his nightmares.

Absurd Cockney Doctor Saves Humanity
Revisado: 02-16-25
I’m happy to say that the world is saved by the end of book three.
The showdown comes in Las Vegas where the desert has acted as a natural buffer between hordes of infected and the usual zombies pumping coins into slot machines.
Our heroes from the previous two tomes return to ferry the Petri dish containing the potential vaccine against the zombie plague to the last remaining scientists in the CDC who’ve holed up in a room in the Luxor.
When the deserter army finally battles its way to their door, they find the three remaining scientists, seemingly unaware of the carnage happening outside their room. They are playing cards, not having thought to barricade the door or find weapons, and are no help at all when infected enter the room.
Finally, one of the rescuers breaks the window and, using the firehose, grabs a scientist and starts rappelling down the building. Only one of the scientists manages to get the escape plan and execute it with the help of our erstwhile rescuer.
Turns out it’s a fungus among us that has morphed into a serious carnivor. The answer? Craft beer.

Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Quit Worrying and Start Living
Revisado: 02-05-25
The author has a very pleasant voice with an approachable, easy manner and he presents the material in a reasonable manner.
When you realize that the average person has less than 5000 weeks to live it puts into perspective how much of our precious time we spend worrying about the future, stuck in the past or focusing on too many things to enjoy or master any of them.
The basic idea is to choose, lighten up and take more pleasure in the moment.

When the crows gather over a remote Navajo Reservation in the deep Southwest, it is a sign that the thin veil that separates our world from the one beyond is about to open. Without a barrier between life and death, things pass between both worlds. Some of them are good. Most of them are not.

Vanished #3 Coyote Way
Revisado: 01-30-25
Something is wrong with the afterlife and the Navajo say it’s a shape shifter they call Coyote hell bent on creating chaos.
For Ben Dejooli, who has died but still has the hots for nurse Caroline, the afterlife is a grind. He inadvertently took the bell, a magical item that confers the power of walking souls from their dead body to the veil. He is neither alive nor dead but he escorts millions of souls to their rest.
There’s a journey and a cobbled together family. There’s unrequited love and a curious relationship between a crow and a boy. The characters are likable and the action non stop.
In the end things are wrapped up rather neatly.
