Historia
The identity comes first: Evie Porter. Once she’s given a name and location by her mysterious boss, Mr. Smith, she learns everything there is to know about the town and the people in it. Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job. Evie isn’t privy to Mr. Smith’s real identity, but she knows this job isn't like the others. Ryan has gotten under her skin, and she’s starting to envision a different sort of life for herself. But Evie can’t make any mistakes—especially after what happened last time.

Suspenseful curious lies
Revisado: 03-28-25
Thoroughly enjoyed this story! Had me guessing the whole time. Nothing in the story was too harsh or rough to read. Just had me curious about who’s lying and who’s not. Who was going to backstab who if anyone? Highly recommend this book! I just wish audio books had male voices for male characters and female voices for female characters.

Historia
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Twisted love story
Revisado: 03-13-25
This was not what I expected. I can’t say I enjoyed the book but it did keep me interested in what was going to happen. It was suspenseful in a curious way but didn’t enjoy the story.

Historia
Julia and Christopher Hygate have the picture-perfect life: gobs of money thanks to their lucrative shipping enterprise and an estate on a secluded island. When they meet Eve Sylvester, they know she is the exact person they should hire to be their child's nanny. Eve doesn’t have any living relatives, she’s lost touch with her friends, and her partner is out of the picture. Best of all, she’s expecting a baby. Eve thinks she’s landed the greatest gig—previously penniless, now she’ll live like a queen and have a promising future for her daughter. But the job seems too good to be true.

No one really knew!
Revisado: 01-29-25
I liked how the story kept me interested in what would happen. I kept guessing what could have been happening but didn’t ever get it right! I didn’t like how the timeline went back and forth but that’s just me liking chronological. I get why it was done.

Historia
Maya was a high school senior when her best friend, Aubrey, dropped dead in front of the enigmatic man named Frank whom they’d been spending time with all summer. Seven years later, Maya lives in Boston with a loving boyfriend and is kicking the secret addiction that has allowed her to cope with what happened years ago, the gaps in her memories, and the lost time that she can’t account for. But her past comes rushing back when she comes across a recent YouTube video in which a young woman suddenly keels over and dies in a diner while sitting across from none other than Frank.

Mysterious
Revisado: 01-06-24
Such a great suspenseful mysterious book! Always had me wondering what happened and what was going to happen? The only reason I gave the story 4 stars was that the end felt unfinished. I imagine on purpose but I like closure and there’s a part of me that doesn’t think I have that here. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes a curious page turner.
