This book was so transparent and true to the underlying thoughts and drive black people carry while being being the minority in the room! Great job! Thank you and your family for filling such an enormous role with grace and dignity! Forever my first family!!!!! And more importantly Thank you for being a shining example for all the little brown girls in this tough world. You rock🤜🏽

Gray is soooooo ANNOYING!!!

Chapter after chapter of Gray crying and whining about Gunz cheating on her; though she kept going back to him. Same actions will always yield the same results. At several points I considered not completing the audible book....but Im a glutton for punishment because I kept hoping something would change in the coming chapters. The book started off great and slowly declined to a vicious circle of sex, happy cheat, breakup ...repeat. Upside... Tee-Tee was hilarious..literally had me laughing out loud. Truth was annoying and except for Gunz cheating ways he made me want him to be better...despite the fact that he told her up front who he was and what to expect.
The narrator did an awesome job!!

Kill the music!!! LITERALLY

Okay.. so while the story was decent and kept my interest; the music in between each chapter was super duper ANNOYING. Frankie was a great addition to the story line as the heroine would have come across a bit flat otherwise. The story didn't feel like book porn and the plot was not super populated with characters inner dialogue.. It was the perfect balance of plot and sex.

Terrible narrator.. okay book

I didnt complete this book as I did not like the narrator. The simulation of a male voice was awful and this book may have been better served with a dual narration.

Poor audio quality and worst narrator!!!!

I could not even get pass the first chapter! The audio sounds like it was recorded on speaker phone and the narrator is absolutely dreadful. I am unable to give an honest review on the story because I could not bare to continue to listen to the plot to see if it was a worthy listen if not for the audio... This needs to be re-recorded immediately.

Sad story

The story was traumatic and sad. Half of the sexual encounters are brutal and there is to much violence. Though this book wasn't for me.. I was committed to listening out to the end only to find out how it ended and to see if Brody got what he deserved... to die.

Warning....Not for the faint of heart

Great narration, good story. However, this is a love story draped in dom/sub, abuse and rape. The abuse gradually increases through the book but you become invested in seeing the heroine escape or gain a HEA. Worth a listen... if you can take it.

Entertaining story... kept my attention.. Heads up; no sex until the end of the book however I was invested in the characters who literately made me laugh out loud sometimes.. Good, full characters with dual narration.

Great story. Author did a great job playing on the edge of dubious consent without actually going there. The heroine is a bit weak in the beginning but finds her strength. Lots of twist and plenty to keep you entertained.
