Can't Go Wrong
Revisado: 06-29-22
There are so many good stories in this book and the audiobook is a fantastic way to relive them. I read the book two years ago, but the audiobook was like watching the series. So much fun.

What a Ride
Revisado: 05-04-22
This book was an absolute blast. Yes, it had some heart-breaking moments, but it comes with so much love and intelligence (pun intended) that it was a fantastic book. Well done by the author and the narrator. Just incredible.

On Broadway, this fresh take on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice has become a modern classic. Heralded as “The best new musical of the season” by The Wall Street Journal and “Sumptuous. Gorgeous. As good as it gets” by The New York Times, the show was a breakout hit, with its poignant social commentary and spellbinding music and lyrics. In this audiobook, Anaïs Mitchell takes listeners inside her more than decades-long process of building the musical from the ground up.

Perfect Addition to the Perfect Story
Revisado: 10-06-20
Anaïs makes this additional behind the scenes look into the making of Hadestown a warm and welcome companion. Her narration is full of her love for the work and the details she gives completely consumes the listener. I was a fan before Broadway, but her journey and success there has only made me admire her and her work that much more.

A Great Thriller
Revisado: 09-22-20
A very good story and I just really like the characters! The setup started off odd, but it was because it jumped right into the story, and it made sense after a while. I really got into what the characters were trying to do though. The mystery of the main character is great and I just want to read so much more about her that I can’t wait to read the next ones! I did like how the author used a fake city but the images in my mind were very easy to create based on the descriptions that are so very Gotham-like. Some of the events are rough and some grit is required, but the story is great and very quick. Little short, but I guess that is what sequels are for. Definitely a worthwhile read.

Woah to WOAH
Revisado: 09-16-20
This book starts off creepy, gets creepier, and turns a new level of holy crap creepy. It is not disturbing, but it sure keeps you thinking and remembering about the true nature of a human. We can be full of care or full of monstrosity. The story is great though, it really feels like a great movie playing in your head and everything is just vivid enough you can follow things and also get the details you need to create that picture. The main characters are very likable and very relatable, even if their lives are not, i.e. being a cop and a woman stalked in this way. The story moves quickly and it keeps you drawn in, despite some of the gory images and ideas it also keeps you very invested. I couldn’t recommend this enough! Read/listen do whatever you have to. Check it out!

Certainty Twisted
Revisado: 09-09-20
As a parent, this was a challenge to begin reading, but the book was worth the read. Some of my worst nightmares, but the story of the characters and how their lives pushed together and worked together worked well. The author does a great job with the descriptions of the sense and building the characters without wasting time. The novel was to the point and the action never slows down.

A Thriller I was Not Expecting
Revisado: 09-01-20
This book started very dark and I honestly thought about giving up because of how things are in the world and how my mind is, but I didn’t. I am glad. The book got much better and Ash was a very likable character. She immersed me into her world and made me cheer for her during the danger and hurt with her during the sad times. Such a great book and I am looking forward to getting other works from the author!

What a Great Story in an Eastern land
Revisado: 09-01-20
This story was completely unexpected but I was completely addicted before the halfway point. I loved all of the mysterious feeling that the author gives to the story. They set up a magical world with a great story to follow. The investigation leads down some very interesting paths and the main characters have to keep second-guessing everything and everyone. I just love how things work out. This subtle magical sense of the book is very welcome and I look forward to reading more from the author! I also loved her narration of the book!

Historia
Stealing a shard of a dead god’s blood should have been enough adventure for a lifetime. For William Reis, it was just the beginning. William has a single goal in his life, to succeed where generations of others have failed, and gain admittance to the Smithing Guild of Palnor. Men and women from the Reach have tried for years, but all have failed. They have failed for a single reason, a commandment from the Church of Amder. No one from the Reach can ever gain entrance to the Guild. A decree that remains unknown all but the Masters of the Guild, and even they don't know why.

A Great world with some darkness and twists
Revisado: 08-31-20
This book immediately goes into action and then takes a step back, which is perfect for the character. I won’t give away anything, but you should know that the world becomes very vivid and detailed so that you quickly become engrossed in the world. The story moves fast and the characters draw you in. You care what is going on and the twists really pull you in as well. The story is a little dark so just be aware of that if your mood isn’t in a place for that. The story isn’t hopeless, but it is a tough journey. Well written and well put together. It is also not a completely overwhelming world like Game of Thrones or anything. A similar type of realism though.
I received this book free on audible and I am voluntarily doing a review.

One Hell of a Ride!
Revisado: 08-20-20
I was not prepared for the fast-paced world that the author drives us into with “Crimson.” The main character has a lot of turmoil and it only gets worse for her. There are a lot of tough decisions and she keeps on moving. The descriptions of the world and all of the creatures were just great though. The battle of the sorcerers was one hell of a ride. Not just the finale, but the all of the story that revolved around them. The other main characters were well done and the comedy relief of one of them was welcome in a darker world. Would definitely recommend and think that people who love good fantasy will enjoy this story.
