I love love love this book and the narrator. The match up with author and narrator has created the most amazing experience. It honestly feels like you’re in a theater watching this all happen when listening.

No spoilers but this is just another incredible installment. I have a more detailed review on Goodreads.

What a Story!

The audio book was fantastic!

I really enjoyed this one.
Even more than the first one!

The plot in these are so good.
I was so invested in it!

Ranger & Winnie’s story was so sweet and emotional.
I loved everything from Winnie showing up, being integrated in the family, and sassing the boys!

So excited for Ransom’s story!

Also I am such a Remmie fan!!!

Solid Shifter Romance

The narrators did a great job for the most part. I wish the female had recorded the FMC lines for the Male POV though. Wasn’t a huge fan of the male’s female voice.

The story was good! I think the pacing could use a bit adjusting and the whole Avery plot should have been handled a bit different imo. At least her past with the MMC. It seemed unnecessary and creates a lot of doubt in the reader considering male shifters shouldn’t be able to preform if their mate is still alive. There just needed to be some clean up in in the plot there.

Other than that I enjoyed it! I’m excited to read the next one. I love all the side characters and can’t wait to get some more Remi!!!

Still Perfection

I keep waiting for one of these books to disappoint me… looks like I’ll keep waiting.

I was sucked into this world completely by the audio.

I cannot say enough how much I love her writing.

Another fabulous addition for any shifter loving romance reader.

This one push the limits with some taboo student/teacher vibes. I absolutely loved it!

I’m telling you, Renee Rose is my favorite bully romance writer. This whole series slaps.

The narration was a bit monotonous at times, but overall good.

The book is written by an investigative journalist. If all the things she alludes to finding in her research are indeed things the government has shared with the public, then I am terrified of the things they have decided to keep from us.

The book gives us a scenario of what would happen if a North Korea launched a nuclear attack on the US. It’s a pretty wild journey.

Some of the major things that will probably live in my mind for awhile now:

- President has 6min to decide if we want to preemptively attack once a nuclear weapon has been spotted and brought to his attention.

That’s a pretty huge, probably world ending decision to make in less time than I put my toddler in timeout for.

-Presidents are not really educated much on nuclear war protocols and plans.

I really hope this is not true. How can the one person who has control over whether we launch a nuclear weapon have no knowledge?

I mean they literally have a sidekick that follows them around at all times with the “football” briefcase of what to do and how to activate the codes. You’re telling me he’s never gone through those files?

Also I am now completely terrified of every president we’ve had in office in my life time now knowing just how much power they held. I don’t think I’d trust anyone with that much power.

- Basically from the launch of the first Nuclear Weapon to the Apocalyptic World is only 1 hour.

That’s terrifying. I do believe that it wouldn’t take long.

- Russia has a satellite monitoring Nuclear activity that can’t even rotate 360 and mistakes geese and such as weapons some times.

Okay I know we like to keep secrets and all but maybe we help them update their technology on that one. You know, just to make sure we don’t accidentally get nuked. Just saying.

-Um I don’t know where I thought Nuclear Weapons were, but definitely didn’t think there’s one a few hours away from me.

Related, I lived in Augusta, GA for a bit. I knew of the Vogtle Plant. ALOT of people I knew had worked there. I drove by it on my way to Hilton Head several times. Not once did I associate that place as being a Nuclear Power Plant in my mind. Maybe that’s why we had water boil advisories every so often.

-The government did months of war games with nuclear scenarios.

Every Single One ended in world ending destruction.

- I’m sure more will just pop up constantly.

So I draw from this book mostly that I hope to be at ground zero of the first attack so I’m out nice and fast and don’t have to deal with anything that follows.

What I really do like about this book is that it gets your mind thinking. Even thinking NK would never send just 1 nuke… bc that’s probably right but if she stated how many they’d really most likely send the book wouldn’t have been very long.

I’m a huge documentary nerd. I love watching them. This book kind of reads like one mixed with mysteries of the abandoned vibes. But I can totally see this not being for everyone.

Also if you have high anxiety when it comes to death, doomsday, or war then do not read this. You basically will never sleep again.

The fact of the matter is the majority of this book is quoted with sources. So the scenario does seem mostly believable.

I have not researched anything or verified anything reported in this book, and probably won’t with fear of it being verified in my brain.

Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. Especially if there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.

Amazing & Intense

The narrators were fabulous and definitely were a good fit for this book.

Super cute story!

This gives a bit of Binding 13 vibes but in college.

This book really hits mental health on the head that results from trauma and/ or parentification. This was probably my favorite thing in the book.

I also really liked how I always thought a cat fight or pissing contest was going to happen, but never did. It showed you don’t have to be someone’s bff, or even like them for that fact, to not be a bad person. I felt like there was a lot of looking out for people in generally that was refreshing.

I’m definitely ready for the next one! I want their story so bad!!!

Fated Mates Shifter Romance

I was in the mood for a sappy fated mates shifter romance and this book just fit the bill.

The epilogue did intrigue me.
So I will be starting the second book now.

The audio was fun and I was very impressed with the different voices the narrator did. At one point I had to check if this was dual narrators and was impressed it wasn’t.

It’s on KU and free audiobook if you have an audible membership.

A Series that Needs More Hype!

I adored this series so much!
It takes me back to how Throne of Glass made me feel but with totally different characters and plot!
Highly recommend!

The narration was so on point too. Such a fabulous job with accents and consistency. I was wrapped into the story the whole time!
