Excellent

Very well written, and the plot twist are wonderful. The narrator I thought was very good. It was a bit stilted, but it fit the Chandra of the story. Thank you.

Historia
The charm of spending the Christmas holidays in South Wales, with its crumbling castles and ancient myths, seems the perfect distraction from the nightmares that have plagued literary agent Lyn Ravenshaw since the loss of her baby five years ago. Instead she meets an emotionally fragile young widow who's convinced that Lyn's recurring dreams have drawn her to Castle Farm for an important purpose - and she's running out of time.

As she does, Susanna weaves a tale that takes sometime to unfold. But once it does, we’ll worth the listen.

Historia
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

Great story! Narration….
Revisado: 05-21-23
A great story, but the narration takes a bit of time to get used to. The narrator does a very good job switching from female to male. And is very distinct between the Irish accent, the Scottish accent, and English. So I think it’s just getting used to how the narrator pushes through. Well written.

Historia
Florence, the 1550s. Lucrezia, third daughter of the grand duke, is comfortable with her obscure place in the palazzo: free to wonder at its treasures, observe its clandestine workings, and to devote herself to her own artistic pursuits. But when her older sister dies on the eve of her wedding, Lucrezia is thrust into the limelight: the duke is quick to request her hand in marriage, and her father just as quick to accept on her behalf. Having barely left girlhood behind, Lucrezia must make her way in a court whose customs are opaque and where her arrival is not universally welcomed.

What a wonderful rendition of 15th century Italy. I went to my history books to refresh myself. Just a great story with a very lovely twist. I’m so glad I took a chance on this. Love the writing style, and the narrator was superb. Thank you, thank you.

I love Hannah Howell’s writing but this narration was just awful. Every character sounded so monotone that it was painful to listen to.

Revisado: 01-26-18
I like the Story, but the narration was terrible. I almost tossed the book back and got a refund.
I like the fact that Jess Michaels addressed the issue of a character having a handicap. One question I do have, is when was sign with hands invented? Thank you again looking forward to the next in the series.

A reflective love story
Revisado: 03-23-17
I love anything that Kate Reading is the narrator, with that being said I was not disappointed with the long walk home. I loved the characters. The story was very smooth and glided along beautifully. Kept my interest.
And I marveled at Alec's interpretation of fulfilling a last request. Really got me thinking regarding life choices.
👍for Will North....I want to visit Wales!

This is the fourth in a series that I have listened to time and time again. The narrator Derek Perkins is is perfect. And of course the author has such a great sense of humor and timing with each character.
Really a joy. Would like for Lauchlin and Neil to have a happy ending also. Can't wait for that
