Historia
Cass thinks she might have this ghost-hunting thing down. After all, she and her ghost best friend, Jacob, have survived two haunted cities while traveling for her parents' TV show. But nothing can prepare Cass for New Orleans, which wears all of its hauntings on its sleeve. In a city of ghost tours and tombs, raucous music and all kinds of magic, Cass could get lost in all the colorful, grisly local legends. And the city's biggest surprise is a foe Cass never expected to face: a servant of Death itself.

book 1 was great but not this one
Revisado: 03-24-25
the narrator was fine but something was missing in this book compared to book one. it started to feel like old hat and I skipped and skimmed through just to make it to the end.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Paradox is way better than this! Don't buy!
Revisado: 03-29-23
I loved Paradox and the time traveling searching quest mystery but this is mystery sci fi for dumb people! it takes nearly 60 chapters to unravel the mystery and then when they do the book is nearly over. Every character you expect to die does. What starts off as a parody of Scooby-Doo becomes a mindless droll with little effort to description, setting, or characterization. I will give it this though: normally I stop reading a bad book but I read this all the way through just to confirm my suspicions of what is obvious 1/3 way through. if this is your first book by this author I feel sorry for you.
