Historia
From New York Times best-selling authors Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski comes the young listeners' edition of an unbelievable memoir about an unlikely friendship that forever changed the lives of a busy sales executive and a hungry 11-year-old boy. On one rainy afternoon, on a crowded New York City street corner, eleven-year-old Maurice met Laura. Maurice asked Laura for spare change because he was hungry, and something made Laura stop and ask Maurice if she could take him to lunch.

Historia
I Will Love You Forever reveals one woman's decades-long quest to find healing and redemption after the accidental death of her sister as a child. Since 2012, God has used hospice babies - those left to live and die without family to care for them - to mend Cori's broken heart. Bringing these fragile hospice babies into their home, Cori and her family have promised not only to hold them briefly, until their last breath on this side of heaven, but to love them forever and always.

Not quite what I expected
Revisado: 11-25-22
I almost gave up listening to the book halfway through because the content was not what I expected. It turned into a story about all their personal health crisises instead of stories about the babies they cared for. And I tend to agree with the author’s husband that she has a flare for the dramatic. Her husband deserves a lot of credit for remaining calm and faithful in spite of her overriding his opinion all the time. I do applaud them for the wonderful work they are doing and am very glad the author is able to manage her trauma and health issues now.

Historia
From the age of 14, Caitlin was completely controlled, repeatedly raped, provided with alcohol, given drugs, sold and passed on to new gangs over and over again. The majority of her abusers were Pakistani men, who were blatant in their attacks upon her, often collecting her from school or home, to be taken to flats they owned, family homes, or hotels booked for the day, to be horrifically and systematically abused.

Gripping and heartbreaking
Revisado: 04-28-22
This book is really hard to hear. But it is necessary to hear hard things to open our eyes sometimes. It is real and raw and very well written and read. You may feel sick to the stomach at times. It is hard to accept that there is such evil out there, but burying our heads in the sand just allows it to grow even more. You will feel every emotion from rage to sadness to desperation to heartbreak and everything in between. Sometimes I felt as angry at her parents as I did at her abusers.

Historia
When a funny turn of events brings a parrot to the ranch, Hank is not worried. After all, what harm can one copycat bird do? So he decides to go about his business. The only problem is, Loper and Sally May don't seem to appreciate his heeding their requests to bark louder and dig up the flowers. What's really going on here? Hank's not sure, but he's determined to find out! Picknickers sing "Because Thy Loving Kindness," and Drover sings a little number called "There Once Was a Doggie".
