Hexes, curses, and other unsavory notions - most magical practitioners won’t even discuss them. Why? Because they’d much rather find a positive solution that benefits all concerned. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Occasionally, though, our problems are such that nothing in the positive solution arena will handle them. It’s time to make a decision to stand tough, be strong, and take definitive action to defend ourselves. And if you‘re ready to do that - if you‘re ready to own that action, and take responsibility for it - then Utterly Wicked is for you.

Not at all for me
Revisado: 08-07-19
Based on the reviews I thought this would be a good listen. I couldn't recall any tips or suggestions that where given....if there where any. I do however recall the whole speech that JK Rowling gave at a collage and the whole damn speech Abraham Lincoln gave. Why where those put in this book? It's short enough and made even shorter with three totally irrelevant entries that combined are an hour long.

Based on the reviews I figured I'd give this book a shot. It's pretty much the same theme for all chapters. Person A is a Jerk. What to do. Options: kill them with kindness or Ignore them. Same thing for each chapter.

Should I Stay or Should I Go? is a survival manual, a guidebook, and a shot of reality. Some people will never change, and kissing frogs is the stuff of fairy tales, not real life. The Beast never turns out to be a nice guy (or gal). This is a book that breaks down what mean people do to us, how they do it, and what we can do to survive.

This book sounded like it was recorded in someones bathroom. It was way to repetitive, nearly put me to sleep. I tried to skip through a few chapters to see if it would pick up with no luck. I'm returning it today. Made it chapter 5.

This book is designed to help you learn how to cope with addicts, alcoholics or substance abusers. Like most people, you are probably exhausted from trying to cope with all of the lies, arguments, anger, broken trust, stealing, manipulation, and insane behaviors that accompany having a relationship with an addict. Perhaps you have lost all hope for change and find yourself caught between loving who the substance abuser once was with all of your heart and hating the addict that they have become.

Historia
When our partner is a narcissist, only those who've actually experienced the madness will ever understand what we're going through. When Love Is a Lie is a straight-up, tell-all book about narcissism in relationships that skips the clinical bullshit to focus solely on the personal experience. A narrative that holds nothing back, Zari Ballard's story will educate, enlighten, and empower you to evaluate (and fully understand) the mind-boggling dysfunction in your own relationship.

Historia
In today's social media and selfie-obsessed culture, we are living in an age of narcissism - and a society that often celebrates this potentially harmful trait rather than understanding it as a psychological disorder. Scientists are beginning to learn that narcissism exists on a spectrum - much like autism - and most of us exhibit some mild narcissistic tendencies.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would not recommend this book to a friend. It had no real guidance and like most said, skip the first few chapters.
Would you ever listen to anything by Mark Manson again?
No
Have you listened to any of Roger Wayne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I would.
Did The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck inspire you to do anything?
Nope.
