Heartwarming.
Revisado: 10-27-22
Janice McNally did a great job narrating the characters. I’m envious of the author’s close relationship with her grandmother. I grew up an army brat and spent most of my years in Germany. My senior year, I met my paternal grandmother for the first time. She died a year later. I never met my paternal grandfather. I’ve only met a few of my dad’s brothers and only on two separate occasions. What a beautiful experience to know family so well, you can share their amazing story. The story is a heartwarming blend of sadness, love and forgiveness.

Enjoyable!

I thought the narrator was perfect for this novel. I think the pendulum swings for all of us in our lives. When life pulls the run out from under us, we doubt our worth and wonder what our mission in life is. The death of Arianna’s parents is the last punch that sends her to the mat. Her depression and self-doubt cause her to make unhealthy relationship choices, and she bounces from job to job. As she begins her healing journey, she finds a job that makes her feel like she is making a difference and giving back to humanity. She meets someone special on the job, but because of her self-doubt; she pushes him away. We cheer as he patiently waits for her to see all the good things in herself that we and he clearly see. We grow along-side her as she discovers she is an amazing and gifted person worthy of loving and being loved. One to the next book by this great author!

Historia
I have experienced four “near-death experiences” in this lifetime on Earth. The story begins at the end of my life in 2017 and recounts my history as a child abandoned by my mother, raised by a nanny during the 1950s. Having imaginary friends who were angels guided and directed to become the spiritual leader I am today.

I learned so much from this book. It was eye-opening to see experiences from a different generation. The chapters had a special message from the author's angel guide, I could relate to each message. The author teaches us how valuable it is to see, listen, taste, and feel each day and to stay spiritually connected. I am inspired to continue my spiritual journey. I also loved the narrator. Her voice was soothing and relaxing.

Desperate for work, with her Miata repossessed and her refrigerator empty, she cons her way into a job as an "apprehension agent" for a bail bondsman. This best selling debut earned Evanovich nominations for the Edgar, Anthony, Agatha, Shamus, and Macavity awards.
