Ramona is timeless, relatable and likeable
Revisado: 12-22-20
Excellent content and performance. Beverly cleary does an excellent job of sharing the heart and actions of a typical child who is very relatable. I enjoyed these books as a child and now I am enjoying going back to them with my own children and they are just as good as I remember them. Ramona is the young people's champ.

Tap into your inner self
Revisado: 05-28-20
Great book on giving you tools to help unlock your sexuality and the power that can come from that. It's based on the Eastern philosophy of Tantra. This is not my belief system but I was able to extract a lot of golden nuggets that help me to explore my sexuality. The book is very interactive and every chapter gives you an opportunity to work on the philosophies discussed. Definitely worth adding to your collection in this particular area. I believe one of the most powerful areas she covered is discovering your sexual blueprint and how those philosophies on sex that you grew up with have a strong impact on your sexuality today.

Great read for learning how to rear your boy(s)
Revisado: 10-15-19
Great read for beginning your journey on principles and rearing your boy. the authors did an excellent job of pulling out significant boy themes and developmental stages and giving practical strategies for the parent/caregiver to execute. This book is written by Christian psychologist who seem to have a good handle on real-world boy life. the insights seem to be non-judgemental and empirically and experientially based. this would definitely be a great addition to a parent's library. The authors do a good job of giving other books and resources to explore.

light-hearted and informative
Revisado: 08-18-19
Good listen. I learned about the childhood and young-adult experiences of this young woman who is ambitious, a public figure, a makeup lover, fashionista and also blind. I liked hearing about her encounters with her world. I would have liked for her to go a little more in-depth on her personal relationships and those dynamics. She shared a lot about the particular mental health issues for people with disabilities face. I was informed about the importance of guide and service animals and how more access benefits everyone. This book is very relatable and appropriate for young readers and those coming of age.

sobering, informative and transformational
Revisado: 08-11-19
This is an awesome survey of American history focusing on the African-American experience and how it has been ridden with racism. The author does an excellent job of surveying American history to present, the history of the American Protestant church and its dealings with racism and how it has affected Blacks in America. This read is sobering, informative and transformational. It is extremely eye-opening and will answer a lot of questions for Americans who wonder about the plight of African-Americans. The author not only puts spotlight on the problems, he also offers also offers effective ways in the present to deal with systemic racism in and out of the church in America.
