There is no shortage of character and fun for this novella-length listen. Sweet, geeky librarian Ginny is down on herself after a breakup and putting on a few ice cream pounds. While feeling inadequate compared to the rest of her friend's wedding party, she is extended an invitation to dance. Ginny can't believe the hot groomsman, Sam, is interested in her. It must be a joke. She holds up her walls in the most defensive, pointed and snarkiest way she knows how. But, of course, she ends up melting in Sam's puddle of patience. A room snafu puts them bunking together and the heat is turned on! This story was a great first-time Tessa Bowen listen for me as well as the wonderful voice of Logan McAllister, who I am sure I will be hearing again in the future.

Goodness...

What started as a camping trip for Casey and her daughter, ended up being a SEAL/single mom romance that has just the right balance. Tobias and Casey both end up on a family camping trip (courtesy of his sister) and boom--instant sparks. Through twists and turns of their romance to secrets from the past, it is a great listen and does not skimp on the hotness. Superb narration by Ruby Rivers and La Petite Mort. A little on the short side for some, but it was just right for me.

If all car accidents ended up like this…

...we would all want one. Cassie and Dante first meet during a traffic mishap, and have an instant dislike for each other. From there, this enemies-to-lovers romance starts to sizzle. Dante and Cassie couldn’t be from two more different worlds with him being a photographer shooting naked models for mens’ magazine shoots and her a grade school teacher. A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm are new to me and I will have to look for more books of theirs in the future. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel work seamlessly together to bring the characters to life. Not overly kinky, but the characters definitely bring the heat.

Not overly dramatic, but it works!

While I generally like a bit of conflict in my romance, this story does the trick without it. Having found their happiness together, this story follows the lives of Beau and Ethan in their quest to add to their family. I've enjoyed all of the stories I have listened to in this series. Where this one has a bit less conflict, it does have a ton of sexy times. If you think the heat is on low, think again. Expertly narrated by the voices of Tor Thom and Charley Ongel , you'll enjoy the journey of Beau and Ethan's quest for a baby. Although I have not listened to all of the books (I read some as well). I would definitely recommend this series.

Ryder is too good to be true...

The hero is picture perfect in Ryder, as a guy who is just downright amazing. He loves Madison's kids as his own and never gives up. When trapped between this hunky delivery guy and pressure of her ex (who has seems to have forgotten about his kids until it is convenient) you just want to say “what are you thinking?" The story is narrated well by the duo of Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. It's a slow-burning, sweet story with some spice, too.

Love, heartache and hope...it's got it all!

I have to give this one a thumbs up! There are lots of series out there about younger generations of family (brothers, sisters, cousins, etc.), but I have never heard a story about the parents of these characters. This one follows the life of Curtis and Lorrie, from their meeting as innocent teens, to them late in life. An outstanding story by Nicole Edwards. Charley Ongel is light and breathy as ever and Tor Thom broke out his low growly drawl. Give it a try. Oh, and plan for a shower after. It gets a bit dirty.

She Saves Him

I received this story in exchange for a for a review and went in somewhat blind to the details of the story. In opening, you wish to hate Dustin for tormenting our heroine in high school. That was where the story started. I am no longer 25, so at first I was a little put off by the age of the characters, as well as Brenna obsessing over a guy who put her in the friend zone. The story was good, but the age didn't work for me personally. As the story progressed and the characters grew older, I because much more comfortable with the story. As they say, there are always two sides to a story and as you reach into the depths of Dustin's past, I fully changed my perspective on his character. With the addition of Brenna in his life, he changed, she changed, they changed and he was able to face and overcome some of his past challenges. Give this a try. It was my first book by Sky Corgan and I am interested to see her other stories. Ainsley Caswell was a new to me narrator. I like to hear more than one book by narrators before I really make an opinion, and I will seek her out in the future to hear more. Enjoy!

Holy Hotness Batman

I went into this blind, seeing the cute Christmas cover. However, I was in for a shock. A light BDSM story that awaited me was pretty filthy and fun. A quick, dirty listen I would definitely try R.E. Hargrave again. Throw in a couple of my fave narrators and voile--a great mix. I personally don't always like when there is an accent, and it changes to normal voice for the narration of the same character, but that is just personal choice. Overall a good story, and if you are hot for the sex it doesn't disappoint. The story does wrap up, but there is also a hint of more to come, and more to explore for these characters.

So much more than I expected!

I had not had a chance to listen to the earlier stories of the Harris Brothers, although I read each of them prior to listening to this book. The story had so many layers, That is what I see in Gareth. The rock of the family at an early age, caring for his younger siblings and always being the fixer, the knowledgeable one, and the one who must be in control after the death of his mother. The depths to Gareth's character were a testament to the awesome writing of Amy Daws. His need to surrender control and be free from his close family and daily shackles are met by Sloane. The book was expertly voiced by Will Watt, Piper Goodeve and Charlotte Cole, my first experience with all three of their voices. Although it is a cliffy, I am looking forward to moving on to Book 5, with more of Gareth and Sloan to come.
