I have to say, this book took me by surprise. I'm into a lot of spice and this doesn't have a lot of it but the world building and plot kept me listening. The narrators are excellent and very entertaining. They made this book captivating and very easy to listen to. I cannot wait for the next book. I will definitely buy it hands down. Well worth the credit! If fantasy worlds are your genre, this is a can't-miss!

Once again, Kim Stone never disappoints. I will always pre-order a Kim Stone book hands down. Jan Kramer is the perfect voice for Kim and hope she will continue the narration in books to come. Good Job Angela & Jan!

Ya'll, grab the tissues because this one is a tear jerker! I cried several times and the narrators do such an excellent job of pulling you into the grief and sorrow of the moment. This book was included in my membership so I didn't have to spend a credit but I would've considered this book credit worthy. There's steam, some funny moments, and a lot of grief. But, there's a HEA so that's always a win.

This is a review of the series as a whole. I feel that the first 4 books held my attention but books 5 & 6 I found myself skipping chapters. I skipped most of book 5 as that dealt in prison violence that I got enough of in book 1. Book 6 just got on my nerves. Some reviews didn't like the narration but I was OK with that part. It was the storyline that got on my nerves. The war that just seemed to be never ending. And the fact that Istvan got away time and again while everyone watched him go! And how Killian declared himself the most powerful Fae more than once yet, what did he actually do for the war? I still have no idea if he had any power at all because he didn't use it if he had it. It just seemed so drawn out and I was itching to just get to the end. I liked how the epilogue kind of caught up with everyone and what they're doing but again, I just wanted to get to the end. The story as a whole was a good one and I'm glad I read it but I think book 4 should've been where the war happened and ended because my interest severely declined after that. But I felt like I was too invested now and had to know what happened in the end. The story is worth reading or listening to but you can cut book 5 completely out and the first half of book 6 and still can fill in the blanks of what happened in between.

Female Narrator Ruins It

The story itself is OK. The female narrator ruined it. She's way over dramatic with every sentence she speaks and breathy when there's no need to be. I pulled the plug at chapter 17. Just couldn't do it. The male narrator was great. The story itself of a vampire who has a watcher (fallen angel) lay dormant inside him until he finds "her". The angel awakens thinking this is his long lost mate so the angel and vampire fight over her. I can't tell you any more than that since I couldn't stand to hear one more word from the FMC narrator. Annoying since I wasted a credit on a box set and can't return!

I'm obsessed with this story. Not only is it hot as hell..there's a mystery surrounding Sunday that I'm itching to find out. I'm in love with all the narrators, they bring the characters to life and make the book all that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the next book!

I think this is one of the most idiotic stories I've heard in a while. It was so terrible that I couldn't make it half way through the first book and returned. The inner dialog of self negativity was the main focus and got old REALLY quick. The narrator's voice got on my last nerve and it was so slow I had to listen at 1.4 speed so she would sound halfway normal. Its a big NO from me. Don't waste the credit.

I listened to the whole series just because I wanted to get to the end but, this had a lot of 50 Shades vibe. Ex stalker. Controlling MC. etc. The female narrator was over dramatic and breathy in the Marilyn Monroe bimbo way. The only time I actually liked her voice was when she was talking as the male character. The story was OK...nothing new or spectacular. I spent a credit for the bundle so at least I'm not out more than that but I wouldn't be the least bit tempted to revisit this story. The saving grace is the male narrator. I wouldn't recommend spending money on this...

This audible has one of the best male narrators I've ever heard. I could listen to his voice forever and never tire of it so it was easy to listen all day and finish this book. The story is heart wrenching and I cried more than once. Some happy tears, some sad but, without spoiling the story, the end was worth every single tear. I recommend this book whole heartedly and would listen to the male narrator read the phone book, that's how much I loved him. Well worth the credit.
