The story line series about mail order brides have a twist for each bride. I do enjoy the stories although the narrator lacks the ability to give each character a u ique sound. The worse part is the narrator is unable to emote properly. The narration sounds rather immature like someone reading an elementary school book.

I think this author writes some delightful romance stories but I could not finish listening to the entire book. The narrator read as though presenting a story to 6th graders. I ended up fast forwarding through the chapters to grasp the story because I enjoy the authors work. I hope the next in the series will be professionally done.

The story is delightful and for such a short story the characters are developed well. The narration is lacks giving the tones to the characters and for me it takes away from the listening experience.

Intrique, romance and history all rolled up in one

This story tells of life, of challenges and the will of people to overcome them. The story is full of twists, turns, and adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will do so again in a year. It is worth the time!

Delightful, hilarious

If you could sum up Hard Eight in three words, what would they be?

Of this series this has been my favorite. You would think the main character Shelia Plum would learn from her mistakes, and she tries, and tries but doesn't. She is the most unlikely bounty hunter that even the bad guys seem to take turns at baiting her. I laughed so hard I cried, her personality is like a mix of sweet fruit and baked beans and somehow it works.
