I strongly recommend this book if your a fan of space-military sci-fi. I’m very glad I gave it a chance. This book is more space-military than zombie sci-fi. The story is well written and narration is actually pretty good. I wish there were other books involving these characters/Trident Corp or at least more books taking place in this universe. I would definitely buy them. I will be looking for other books from both the author and narrator.

A good series continues

Another good addition to a really good series. Like all of the books in this series, this story is engaging and balanced as to action, plot, and character development. It’s not junk food fiction. It’s well written. Most importantly, unlike so many other fictional series out there, this book has an actual ending. There’s no cliffhanger. This story comes to a conclusion, while promising that there is more to come.

The editing of the audio and narration isn’t perfect but it’s not distracting. I’ll keep buying as long as they keep publishing!

Better than expected!

This ended up being a pretty fun book. I will definitely get the second when it comes out (hopefully soon). It took me a few chapters to get into the book, but if you give it a chance you will be rewarded.

I'll be back for book 3, but...

This was a good book, however, I liked the first book better. Although, I'm not real sure why. I think part of the reason is that the first book had more of a local, small town/group feel to it. I liked that the main story focused on the town and surrounding area, while also giving a glimpse of a bigger picture and hinting at larger issues. The nation wide picture in the first book was the backdrop to what was going on in the town. The second book zoomed out, and the two story lines feel as though they were given comparably equal time. This means that the local area issues weren't given as much development and "meat" as in the first book.

Another good chapter to the story

I really wish these books were longer, but at least this one ended at a better stopping point. The length is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars. 4 down, 11 to go... so far...

Good, BUT....chopped off the ending

This is a good series so far, but the length of each book is aggravating. For me it's about value per credit, and why I usually avoid series with short incomplete books/volumes. This book (book 3) abruptly ends in the middle of a scene. There are 15 books so far and the audio production has a long way to go before it catches up with the series. It really frustrates me when a series is cut up this way. At least end the book at an actual stoping point. It can't be that hard to complete each story. If I'm wrong and this is an issue, then why not combine every 2 books or so, or sell the audiobooks as a box set? After all, the books have already been written.

Less than 3.5 hours of actual law

The length of the book is misleading at best. Most of this book is about applying to law school. A pointless topic if you are studying for the bar or a law school class. The actual law part is ok, but brief. Again, less than 3.5 hours of family law...
