Historia
In an eye-opening tour of the unconscious, as contemporary psychological science has redefined it, Timothy D. Wilson introduces us to a hidden mental world of judgments, feelings, and motives that introspection may never show us. This is not your psychoanalyst's unconscious. The adaptive unconscious that empirical psychology has revealed, and that Wilson describes, is much more than a repository of primative drives and conflict-ridden memories.

Understand Yourself
Revisado: 01-10-21
One of the most profound books on understanding yourself and creating a more meaningful and fulfilling self narrative. It elucidates the interplay between our conscious mind and the adaptive unconscious which must have a cohesive narrative that brings forth peace of mind. This book is packed with insightful anecdotes and impactful stories to bring it all together.

Historia
Jack Valentine seemed to have it all. He made good money as an ad man and looked good doing it. He had a hot apartment, cool friends, even a slick car - at least until the hectic Monday morning a truck smashed into it, sending the critically injured Jack to the hospital. Everything happens for a reason, though, and Jack’s reason reveals itself in the silver-haired cancer patient who becomes his roommate one evening. The elderly man, Cal, shares his life story - one not dissimilar to Jack’s - of material wealth masking a gaping hole within.

Amazing story about life’s wisdom, love and legacy
Revisado: 10-17-18
Wow what a touching novel. If you were a fan of other classics such as the Alchemist, and Siddhartha then this contemporary novel is right up your alley. The book takes our narrator Jack from tragedy amidst a personal conflict, to meeting his destiny and setting himself on his true path. His encounters with his teachers the saint, the surfer and the CEO offer insight that will make you think differently and have you jotting down notes to help improve yourself and the world around you. I highly recommend this to any self seeker looking to expand on what they already know while seeing new nuances to more open minded, compassionate thinking.

Fantastic stuff
Revisado: 07-08-17
Great book which truly opens you up to what was going on with the Consciousness movement in the 60s and 70s. While some of the things he spoke about back in the late 70s never came to fruition it still amazes, provokes insight and makes you empathize with a man on a mission. I'd highly recommend it to any seeker of the occult and spiritual.

Historia
In his final novel - which he considered his most important - Aldous Huxley transports us to the remote Pacific island of Pala, where an ideal society has flourished for 120 years. Inevitably, this island of bliss attracts the envy and enmity of the surrounding world. A conspiracy is underway to take over Pala, and events are set in motion when an agent of the conspirators, a newspaperman named Faranby, is shipwrecked there. What Faranby doesn't expect is how his time with the people of Pala will revolutionize all his values and - to his amazement - give him hope.

Favorite Huxley work
Revisado: 06-29-17
Amazing book about self discovery, parallels to modern society, Utopianism, spiritualism and enlightenment. I highly recommend this book as a lighter more positive version of Huxley's Brave New World

In the early 1990s, A.H. Almaas had a realization he was not expecting - even after years of deep inner awakenings. "I thought it was a personal experience, not a teaching," he reflects. Now, after two decades of further investigation, A.H. Almaas has concluded that the time is right to share "the view of totality" - what he considers one of the most advanced aspects of his teaching. With Endless Enlightenment, you are invited to join the renowned author and creator of the Diamond Approach® for a six-session program on the view of totality.

Must have for any spiritual seeker of an integrated view
Revisado: 05-24-17
An amazing interview with a man I wish I found out about years ago, but glad to have stumbled upon him a few months ago. Hameed explains his view of totality , and shares many secrets that the spiritual masters usually withhold, in hopes of enlightening his listeners while provoking realizations. I hope to one day meet him since his words resonate with me, and they induced many insights I was not aware of previously.

Historia
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Great insight into Toltec Wisdom
Revisado: 01-10-17
I read this book after finishing The Four Agreements. Don Miguel Ruiz expands on his father's ideals beautifully and elucidates how you too can learn these insights through great stories, explanations and wonderful exercise. Highly recommend this book to anyone on the Path.

Great for seekers
Revisado: 09-27-16
Fred really takes you on a journey to show you who you are not and who you really are or at least the presence that you are. He simplifies the concept of oneness, and makes you realize it's been there this whole time but your own persona or in this book "Alex" has been looking for more. I highly recommend this book to any seeker, and I look forward to listening to Fred's other books on the topics of life and awakening.
P.s. He advises it in the book, but I suggest you devote a day to this book, paying attention to its pointers and experiences and digesting it all in the moment. Good luck to you all in your journey.
