Historia
From trips on private jets and encounters with world leaders to shocking accounts of misogyny and double standards behind the scenes, this searing memoir exposes both the personal and the political fallout when unfettered power and a rotten company culture take hold. In a gripping and often absurd narrative where a few people carelessly hold the world in their hands, this eye-opening memoir reveals what really goes on among the global elite.

Woke. Tediously so.
Revisado: 04-23-25
Hyperfeminist and woke. Bizarrely operates under the assumption that we all lament Trump’s election, self-evidently false.
Comically clueless. The author describes multiple forks in the road at which she decides for one reason or another she must stay on and compromise. She doesn't "want to go back to paying rent" and other venal justifications. Only after she is fired does she decide that others who weren't fired didn't have the character and fortitude to leave. Reads like a screed from a disgruntled ineffective employee.
Eventually she reveals her agenda, which is to try to defeat Bret Kavanaugh and prevent the election of Trump. She ends up loathing Zuck for not sharing her distorted world view.
Boring, too. Get it free on Hoopla like I did.

Entertaining whitewash
Revisado: 04-09-24
The narrator’s accent and vocal fry were practically intolerable by halfway in.
The substance was an obvious whitewash of a well-known crowd of vain and ridiculous literary people and Ouija board enthusiasts obsessed with gossip about themselves.
Otherwise well-written, detailed and entertaining if unreliable bio.

Historia
The Brothers Karamazov tells the stirring tale of four brothers: the pleasure-seeking, impatient Dmitri; the brilliant and morose Ivan; the gentle, loving, and honest Alyosha; and the illegitimate Smerdyakov: shy, silent, and cruel. The four unite in the murder of one of literature's most despicable characters - their father. This was Dostoevsky's final and best work.

A long work and a great work, but boy is it long

Excellent Narration
Revisado: 10-21-22
I found the narration absolutely perfect for this work. It is a long, dense story and the narration enhanced the vivid descriptions and distinguished the personalities well. I can see why some reacted negatively to the narrator, but could not disagree more with the criticisms. In fact I consider it one of the best narrations of any of the hundreds of audiobooks I’ve listened to.

Perfect audiobook
Revisado: 09-09-06
I've read the book four times. Didn't expect to find the audiobook as funny/vivid/dimensional but I was wrong. It is a PERFECT narration of a masterpiece.

Superb Narration
Revisado: 02-25-06
A narrator is so important that he or she can make a bad book or break a good book.
In this case, a great book is done even more justice by the narration. Highly recommended.
